This is a beautiful car.  It drives like a Porsche and is more fun than a go cart.  It got great reviews from everyone that has road tested it.  You should Google this car and see all the good reviews.

The owner reviews list this car at 9.5 out of 10.  That makes it one of the highest rated cars by owners on the market.  23 to 25 miles per gallon, even with all wheel drive and incredible power.

Blue Book® Suggested Retail Value  $18,386 - $27,377  You can save a bundle on this car because there is no reserve !!

I moved to Texas in 2008 and decided to get my car dealer license because I love to buy and sell cars and motorcycles.  It has always been more of a hobby than a business (thank god, or I would starve)

I found this car in San Antonio and purchased it from an insurance company. There was no damage to the body or frame.  When I bought the car it ran great. It was originally reported as flood damage and I do not normally purchase flood damage cars.  In this case the car looked so nice that I decided to do a complete inspection.  I could not find any evidence that the car had been involved in a flood. No debris, no rust, no mud or dirt, no water level stains.  I researched the history in detail and found that the car was parked in a parking lot that was flooded ranging from 2 inches of water to 14 inches.  After the flood water has subsided the owner started the car and noticed a check engine light.  When the diagnosis was done the owner was told that the Electronic Control Module (ECM) had some moisture in the casing and it was “throwing a check engine code”.  The owner of the car turned it into his insurance company and they offered to salvage the vehicle and pay him the value.

I drove the car from San Antonio to New Braunfels and the check engine light stayed on so I decided to purchase a new ECM.  I bought an ECM and had it installed by the Subaru dealership in San Antonio. I also requested that the dealership give the car a complete inspection. The new ECM solved the check engine light problem and the car passed a 27 point inspection with “nothing to report”.   I have driven the car back and forth from San Antonio to New Braunfels several times and it runs and drives perfectly.  This car is really fun to drive!  It is unbelievable how much power it has.

The body and paint are nearly flawless.   Interior is in “like new” condition. This is a great looking car.

This car still has a salvage title but I will give you a “certificate of rebuild”.  If you take the title and certificate of rebuild to the DMV they will issue you a new title that will be a standard title.  Some states will put a note in the remark section that says “rebuilt” or “prior salvage” .

You will be very happy with this car.  It is solid, drives perfect and would rate in “excellent” shape.  If you are a Texas buyer I will have the state inspection done before you pick up the car.  I would drive this car across the country without any worries.

I took lots of pictures but I strongly suggest that you come to New Braunfels Texas and drive it.  If you drive it, you will want it!  If there were any way to justify keeping this car I would hang onto it, just not in my budget.

You will save a bundle of money on this car!  This car will sell to the high bidder regardless if that is $500 or $25,000.

I really hope to get what this car is worth but I will trust the auction to bring whatever the market will pay.  Whoever wins this bid will be very happy!

I will be happy to help you arrange to get the car to your home as long as it has been paid for before it leaves my driveway.

The winning bidder will need to pay a $500 deposit within 24 hours and the balance within 5 days.  You can leave the car here as long as you wish once it is paid for.

This is a true NO RESERVE!  High Bidder Wins!

Is your new-car warranty good at the race track?

Mon, Feb 27 2017

We've all heard the horror stories. Your buddy knows a girl that was dating a guy whose best friend's brother once broke his brand-new, recently purchased performance car while making runs at a drag strip or laps at a track day, and the manufacturer wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. True story? Urban legend? Complete crap? Yes, no, maybe. One thing's for sure: Automotive warranties have always come with caveats. In 1908, an ad in the Trenton Evening Times clearly stated: "All Ford Cars Guaranteed for One Year." Although it changed over time, by 1925 the Ford New Car Guarantee only covered 90 days on material and 30 days on labor, and it clearly stated that that there was "No guarantee whatever on Fan Belts, Glass, Bulbs, Wiring, Transmission, Bands, Hose Connections, Commutator Shells, Rollers, Spark Plugs or Gaskets." Whether or not Ol' Henry would pay to fix your Model T if you broke it shaving a tenth off your lap time at the local board track seems to be lost to history. We're guessing no. But what about today? Do new-car warranties in 2017 cover cars when they are driven on race tracks? We researched the warranties of 14 auto brands to find out, and the answer is yes, no, maybe, depending on the brand, in some cases the model, and whether or not your car is modified from stock. Acura has been out of the high-performance car game for a number of years, but jumps back into the party in 2017 with its hybrid-powered $173,000 NSX supercar. And Acura's warranty, as well as Honda's, clearly states that it does not cover "the use of the vehicle in competition or racing events." View 33 Photos So we asked Sage Marie, Senior Manager of Public Relations for Honda and Acura. "If the car is stock, the warranty covers it on a track just as it does on the street. No question," he told us. "However, if the car is modified, say with slick tires or other components that would put higher stresses on the vehicle's parts and systems, then we would have to investigate the circumstances further." Marie went on to say the same would be true for any Acura model or Honda vehicle, including the new 2017 Honda Civic Si. This became a common theme. Chevrolet actually started this practice with the fifth-generation Camaro on the high-performance ZL1 and Z/28 models.

Subaru might build WRX hatchback after all

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

The 2015 Subaru WRX is awesome. Really awesome. We told you as much in our first drive of the new sedan back in December. Honestly, our only complaint about Fuji Heavy's new performance machine is that it's no longer offered as a hatchback - the new WRX is a sedan-only affair, despite the more functional five-door variant accounting for some 50 percent of sales in the car's last generation.
But there's hope on the horizon, if a report from Australia's Motoring.com is to be believed. Speaking with Masuo Takatsu, Subaru's general manager for the WRX, the company is now re-considering putting the "hatch" back in its hot hatch.
"We have received strong interest from the US, where the hatchback was 50 percent (of previous-generation WRX sales), so we're now considering," Takatsu told Motoring, noting that the United States is Subaru's main target for this car. Additionally, Takatsu said the company's decision to only offer the sedan was the result of limited engineering resources, echoing statements we've previously heard from Subaru's US arm.

This week's Autoblog Podcast features Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore and Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski as they debate the merits of the redesigned Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86 coupes and whether or not they are distinctive and powerful enough to attract buyers. The duo spends some time discussing ongoing EV and infrastructure legislation before turning their attention to a trio of crossovers. Greg muses about the 2021 Mazda CX-30 before Jeremy talks about the refreshed 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and completely redesigned Outlander. We get nostalgic as we remember the dearly departed Pontiac GTO before wrapping the podcast up by making one more suggestion to a longtime listener who is shopping for a vehicle to replace her aging Honda Pilot.
