2006 Subaru Wrx 5 Speed No Tuning Low Price on 2040-cars
Portland, Connecticut, United States
2006 Original WRX from California and then Texas. Used only 2 years in Connecticut. This is a clean rust free car! Accident free history. All original body, Clear title. Full service history from 58,000 miles to now. The engine was always run completely stock and was flashed at Quality Subaru for the northeast region in 2012. The only mods are the K&N intake and SPT cat back exhaust. The rocker moldings were missing when I got it in 2012. Everything else is original to the car: factory 5 speed shifter, wheels, Radio/ single CD player, factory turbo and cooler, original factory clutch still works fine. Mostly all highway mileage. All 4 new brake rotors were replaced by Subaru. Brake pads were replaced, calipers are original. The tires were new at 70,000 miles, but will need replacement soon. The suspension is tight and the car drives and handles perfectly. Everything is working properly on this stock original car. I added the Rally Armor Splash Guards in 2012 to protect the car for winter driving. This car is a great driver or could be a good foundation for your tuning project. Priced below any other good WRX because of the paint, dings and scratches, but still looks good from 10 feet away. |

2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek gets more infotainment, safety tech
Fri, 24 Oct 2014A couple of months ago, Subaru rolled out a series of minor enhancements for the Impreza, and now it's performed a similar upgrade to its more rugged counterpart, the XV Crosstrek. For 2015, the XV benefits from available EyeSight driver assistance suite, steering-responsive fog lights and a new 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with a seven-inch version on higher-spec models).
Otherwise the 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek and XV Crosstrek Hybrid are essentially the same as the 2014 models they replace. The requisite 2.0-liter boxer four drives to all four wheels as always, with or without hybrid assist, through either a five-speed manual or continuously variable transmission. Look for the updated model to reach dealers this December, and in the meantime, feel free to peruse the press release below.
Subaru gunning for 500,000 US sales by 2015
Fri, 20 Sep 2013For the last four years in a row, Subaru has experienced incredible sales growth including record sales of 336,441 units in 2012. This trend is all but guaranteed to continue this year with 281,652 on the books so far, but Automotive News is reporting the automaker has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
The report says that Subaru is gunning for around 500,000 sales in the US by 2015, which doesn't seem like too far of a stretch considering 2013 sales totals are expected to top 400,000 units. Through August, Subaru's sales are up 29.3 percent compared to 2012, thanks to popular models like the Forester, Outback and, surprisingly, the WRX.
A new WRX is headed for an LA Auto Show reveal while an all-new Legacy is due out next year, and AN adds that Subaru is planning to significantly increase its media spending next year and start production of the Impreza sedan in the US in 2016.
2014 Subaru BRZ gets exceedingly modest price increase
Sun, 25 Aug 2013Subaru has announced pricing for the 2014 BRZ, and with a $25,595 MSRP, it starts at just $100 more than the 2013 model. The destination charge adds $795 - a $25 increase over 2013 - bringing the total to $26,390.
Aside from the very modest price increase, the 2014 BRZ is essentially the same as its 2013 predecessor. The one notable change for 2014 is that Aha infotainment smartphone integration now comes with the standard navigation system. Subaru is one of the first automakers to include this feature, which delivers smartphone activity such as live news, podcasts and social media news feeds to drivers through the radio.
The rear-wheel-drive BRZ's other features remain the same, and we certainly don't have any complaints about that. It still comes with a 200-horsepower boxer engine, manufacturer-estimated fuel economy of 34 miles per gallon on the highway, 2+2 seating, and options such as dual-zone automatic climate control and heated front seats.
