The car is going up for sale because I will be using the money for a down payment on my first home. I am in no rush to sell this, but would like to put it on the market to begin the process. I will be driving the car up until the end of October 2013, then will be storing it for the winter months. I would expect to have the miles right around 46K at that time. I have owned many Subarus and have been around them since i could first drive. This STI is by far the best built Subaru, and most eye-catching that i've owned and hate that I am putting it up for sale. The exterior work is pretty straight forward. I have genuine 3-piece Work wheels on it, and the whole wheel/tire setup cost over $4K. I installed the flares, have coilovers, and a rear diffuser which is riveted on. Im not going to go through a list of parts because I feel that is ridiculous, and if you have any specific questions I would be more than willing to answer them accordingly. The engine is original to the car. I have just put new one-step colder plugs and tuned it all up. It was tuned by Matt Minor of Wicked Innovation just a couple of weeks ago. I had a full custom alignment done the day prior to the tune by a reputable shop near me. The car is running stock parts minus a full catless exhaust, and 20lbs of boost which is watched by an innovative wideband, defi boost/egt gauges. The car runs extremely well and that is what is intended to do.. I didn't build it up and sacrifice reliability. The car pulls plenty hard and will not give you any issues once done getting on it. I am meticulous with all of my toys and this car is no different. You need to examine this car in person to appreciate the amount of time and money I have dumped into it. The next owner is getting a hell of an STI that will get positive attention from the suby community wherever they go. Bad: The car was in a front left end accident. I hit a guard rail near my house while entering a restaurant (don't ask why I would do such a thing). I had it sent to the most talented and reputable shop in NH. They have all of the latest laser technology and such, and had done an extremely good job on getting the car back to exactly where it originally was. The headlights are cleared and don't have a ding, the front bumper is mint without a scratch, and same goes for the hood and fenders. In a way it is a good thing, because the whole front end is mint. Cell: 603-714-9553.
Thank you, Mike Healey |

Mazda Turnpike in Japan shut down for racing
Mon, Dec 29 2014The people behind Motorhead Magazine in Japan clearly have some friends in high places. Not only did they manage to shutdown eight kilometers of the Mazda Turnpike up the Hakone mountain, but they invited some of the country's premiere racers to take a drive up the hill. This wasn't just a Sunday cruise either. Featuring a BMW Z4 from the Super GT series, a classic Ford GT40, two flavors of Nissan GT-R and two takes on the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, these guys came ready to run. When an opportunity to let racecars challenge a curvy mountain road presents itself, you don't squander it. Thankfully, the folks at Motorhead knew that and outfitted the course with a plethora of cameras and high-quality sound equipment to capture the action. The result is nothing short of sublime. Take the video's urging to turn up your speakers for this one, and watch as these racers hit ludicrous speeds in a beautiful place never meant for them. Subaru WRX hatchback mule spotted
Tue, 02 Sep 2014Despite on-again, off-again rumors, this latest set of spy shots seems to indicate that yes, a five-door Subaru WRX is indeed in the works. Subtlety is key with this test mule, but there are clear bits of evidence that indicate a hotter hatchback is what's being developed here.
First, notice the WRX-spec front fascia grafted onto this ordinary-looking Impreza hatch. From there, we can clearly see the tiny bit of added width - most obvious on the roof and at the rear, near the fuel door and taillamps. And of course, let's not forget about that bulge in the hood, consisting of a metal panel that covers the hood scoop and can apparently be removed thanks to a series of screws, according to our spies. The WRX's more robust exhaust and larger wheel/tire package have not been added to this mule, though we're told that this is commonplace for Subaru prototypes - those bits should be added on as the car's development progresses.
We fully expect a WRX hatchback to be, well, just that - mechanically, it should be identical to the sedan brethren, though our spies indicate that Subaru could be testing an updated version of the WRX-spec boxer engine. Of course, there's always a chance that this could be something else entirely, given the on-and-off reports of the five-door 'Rex's existence in the first place...
Subaru will cap sales, introduce US-only SUV and PHEV
Wed, Nov 4 2015With Subaru's meteoric growth over the past few years, it seems like the company would double down on the success and expand. However, the Japanese brand has announced that it will take the opposite approach. Rather than continually increasing global deliveries, the automaker will instead cap annual volume to between 1.03 million and 1.1 million units, according to Automotive News. While the strategy will keep Subaru's niche status, the brand's lineup certainly won't stagnate. After abundant rumors, a US-only, seven-seat crossover will eventually be assembled in Indiana, and Impreza production will reportedly move there in 2016. In addition, the company will launch a plug-in hybrid around 2018, but it'll only be sold where necessary to meet zero-emissions requirements. While the Japanese brand is widely known for crossovers and wagons, Subaru isn't forgetting its performance fans, either. Fuji Heavy Industries President Yasuyuki Yoshinaga confirmed yet again that a second-gen BRZ is under development. "We have already agreed with Toyota we will do a full model change. We have not decided when it will be introduced," he said to Automotive News. Subaru has been considering whether to grow for years, but the planning eventually favored maximizing the current factories. For example, Subaru decided not to build a plant in China but has chosen to boost capacity at the line in Lafayette, IN. Yoshinaga sees the strategy as a way to maintain the brand's soul. "Many companies try to be bigger or sell more vehicles. If Subaru does the same thing, we will lose our characteristics," he said to Automotive News. Related Video:
