2004 Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti Sedan 4-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States
For sale is my 2004 STI, the car is Stage 2, and is very street-able as it is my daily driver. As of 6/24/13 I had the oil changed, brake fluid flushed, differentials serviced, transmission serviced, new coil-overs, and new sway bar end-links. It also had a new custom tune put in it by "Fastech" in Maryville, TN. The car is set to 18lbs, with zero knock, on pump gas making 308 awhp and 340 ftlbs at the tire, on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. With receipts totaling almost $2,500, the car needs nothing but a driver. Here is a list of the modifications...
The bad:
* See photos, I tried to get the best pictures I could of the blemishes, the scratches aren't deep, they are in the clear coat and should buff out. The car does have a lien on it through a local credit union, so the title will be dispersed with certified funds i.e. cashier's check or wire transfer. Also the car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. If you have any questions please let me know, I'm sure there is plenty I'm forgetting. |

We drive a Subaru to one of the world's largest glaciers
Wed, Feb 24 2016Now that we're back from Patagonia, senior video producer Chris McGraw is emptying out his camera memory and putting together a number of short clips showing the various places we visited along the journey. (Yes, we wanted to upload these last week, but had little to no wifi connectivity along the way.) In this latest video, we bring you the sights from our trip to the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina, and a look at the roads leading into Chile. Our chariot for what was actually Day 3 of the trip was a Subaru Forester, which had no problem tackling the rough dirt and gravel roads through Patagonia, and was an excellent cruiser for the twisty paved roads leading into the Andes mountain range. The Perito Moreno Glacier is massive – roughly three times the size of Manhattan – and is one of only a few glaciers in Patagonia that's still growing. It is truly an awesome sight – one that's hard to describe, because when you see it, you just sort of stand there, mouth agape, fascinated. We've got a few more clips in the works, including our full Patagonia feature video. Stay tuned, and enjoy the view.
Subaru readying special-edition BRZ
Fri, 14 Feb 2014Another week coming to a close brings another rumor of a potential hotted-up version of the Subaru everyone wants to turbocharge, the BRZ.
A fresh rumor out of the Car and Driver offices makes the claim that a new, special-edition BRZ model will be offered up within the next few months. Word is that the new model will not get similar upgrades to the recent BRZ tS (seen above) for the Japanese market, meaning we're likely in for a cosmetic update instead of a functional one.
The looks of the tS could still be in the cards, however, meaning swapped-out lip spoiler, wheels and even STI badging might be on the way.
Subaru provides first glimpse at upcoming Forester STI
Mon, 27 Oct 2014Have you been patiently awaiting an STI version of the Subaru Forester? Your wait may be over soon, good friend, as teaser images of just such a vehicle have surfaced online.
Set to debut on November 25, the 2015 Subaru Forester STI will reportedly feature more aggressive aero and cooling, upgraded rolling stock and brakes, and Subaru Tecnica International's signature bright-blue paint and red accents.
What we don't know is what will provide the motivation. There's a pretty big gap at present between the 250 horsepower offered in the top-of-the-line Forester 2.0XT and the 305-hp WRX STI, and we don't know where along the spectrum the Forester STI might fall. Nor do we know, for that matter, if it'll be offered Stateside. But we're looking forward to finding out.
