2002 Subaru Impreza Wrx Wagon 4-door 2.0l Intercooled Turbo on 2040-cars
Burke, Virginia, United States
AutoCheck Report Score 67 ! page is listed in pictures.
You are bidding on a well serviced 02 WRX, it's has been dealer serviced pretty much since day 1. It is UNMOLESTED, Mature Adult owned! and completely STOCK. The little Rex runs and drives great, turbo spools up and holds 7lbs of boost according the optional boost gauge. There is NO smoking from the exhaust, no fluid leaks from the motor, transmission shifts firm with no slips. It' has new front brake pads, rear rotors and pads are new and the tires have tons of life left, oil just changed, radiator flushed, new batter, all drive belts. The interior is VERY clean and everything works great!. ie. CD player, boost gauge, lights etc. The Rex was passed on to us from a extended family member for my son but hes not eligible to have a car his freshman year so we were going to use it a spare vehicle but its just been sitting and not driven so it's time to let it go. Now the lows : the A/C stopped working a couple days ago not sure if it's something simple but I don't have time to drop it off to get it checked out so it's being offered AS IS but the HEAT works great, other then that mechanically it's great. The other thing is when we got the vehicle it did not have the rear right/left headrest and I only have 1 keyfob and 1 key. Overall this little scooby is in great condition considering its age. So if your looking for a nice well cared and functional wagon this is it. **** Please be kind with your offers thank you. The car is being offered locally, I reserve the right to cancel the auction at anytime.

Days 3-5: Our 4 favorite Patagonia timelapse videos | Subarus in South America
Sat, Feb 20 2016Sorry for the break in daily updates, Autoblog In Patagonia fans. McGraw and I spent the last two nights at a hotel so remote, it doesn't even technically have an address – just coordinates. We barely had wifi access and couldn't even get a cell signal most of the time, but now we're back with another quick update about our adventures in South America. Since our last writing, we hopped in a Subaru Forester and checked out the massive Perito Moreno glacier, crossed the border into Chile and spent all of Thursday inside the Torres del Paine national park. We drove Outbacks and Crosstreks on some truly epic dirt roads up and down mountains, and even took a break to do a little fishing (we can't work all the time). Friday, our journey took us even more south to Punta Arenas, Chile, and on Saturday we'll cross the Straits of Magellan and head back into Argentina, to fulfill our quest of driving to the southernmost drivable point in the world (outside of Antarctica). Since we've had lots of time on our hands, we decided to take some timelapse videos of the epic scenery here in Chile, and that's what we're bringing you this time around, in the video above. We'll have another update soon. In the meantime, check out our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram feeds to see what we've posted on our very spotty cell coverage. We can't wait to show you everything we experienced when the big, final story comes out later this month. Auto News Subaru Videos patagonia autoblog in patagonia
Honda, Subaru airlifting parts to bypass port labor diputes
Fri, Feb 6 2015It should be abundantly obvious that a vital element in building cars is actually having the components on hand to assemble them. A labor dispute on the West Coast between the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and management is not making that quite so easy for some Japanese automakers. Work slowdowns at the ports have pushed Honda and Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries into flying some parts into the country. The two automakers began shipping by airplane late last month to avoid production delays, according to Bloomberg, but it has been an expensive solution. Subaru's chief financial officer said the decision cost around $60 million more per month than sending components by cargo ship. They aren't the only companies dealing with the problem, either. Toyota reportedly stopped overtime assembly at some of its factories here because of the delays in getting parts, according to Bloomberg. The dockworkers have been negotiating on a new contract since May 2014, and the current offer on the table to them has offered a 3 percent raise, according to Bloomberg. Although, the union is reportedly considering another slowdown at 29 ports along the West Coast in the coming days. Revisit the charms of the 1978 Subaru Brat
Mon, 27 Jan 2014The Subaru Brat is the automotive equivalent of a teenager with a mullet: weird, a little reckless but brimming with enough self-confidence to make it cool.
The Brat came from Subaru's desire to compete in the burgeoning light pickup market of the late-1970s. To get around the so-called Chicken Tax that added a 25 percent tariff on imported pickup trucks, Subaru threw two seats in the bed, which technically allowed it to be classified it as a passenger car. The result was a great, weird combination of a complete lack of safety, with a low price and lots of driving fun.
In the video below, Motor Trend's Johnny Lieberman takes a 1978 Brat through the desert and shows just how much fun a little pickup can be.
