Highly recommended

Outstanding customer service, very good job. Worked issue on my van until it was fixed including ""tweaks"" after a repair without charging a dime. Honest, straight forward, competent. Wish I`d known about Ed and his mechanics four years ago when we first got here.

The best repair shop in town

My experience with Ed at A&E Automotive too many times to count has been awesome!! He will bend over backwards to help you out and he always has the best attitude with a smile in-tow. He and his ace mechanic have excellent customer service and fair prices. He has fixed problems, that dealerships or other garages have soaked the customer for a lot of cash and never fixed the problem, at a cheaper price. A&E means ANYTHING & EVERYTHING! And Ed`s not kidding!

I used A&E when I had a problem and when I needed a State Inspection and had good experiences both times. When my friend felt that she was being jerked around by a repair company in WMBG I suggested that she call Ed at A&E. He not only explained that her issue was normal wear and not a reason to fail an Inspection, but he did the repair for less than half the cost the other guy quoted her. I talked with Ed a little while paperwork was being done and found that Ed is retired after 20 plus years as a Black Hawk helicopter mechanic. You must have to be a good and trusted mechanic to work on those birds, when they break people die! Ed has proved again and again that he is a trustworthy and honest mechanic and bussinessman. He bought the building his shop is in and is expanding to twice the bays! I asked if he was looking for help and his reply was,""Only if they are SAE Certified Mechanics, only qualified and up to date mechanics work here.""

I trust A&E and would send my Mother there to get her car worked on!

Great Customer Service!

I recently bought a car from a friend and realized there was a major problem with the vehicle. I orginally took it to Wal-mart and they could not fix it because the work was too extensive. They referred me to ""Ed"" with A&E Automotive in Newport News. They said that he was very reasonable, reliable and would set me straight. Let`s just say, I will no longer go anywhere else if I need work on ANY of my vehicles. Ed also gave me some tips on future problems I should look out for and when I should replace certain parts with the particular make and model I had. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are truthful, friendly, courteous, reliable, inexpensive and timely. Unlike a dealership, I never have ""additional"" problems after being serviced there. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.
