I took my Kia here for service...
I took my Kia here for service about a month ago and Rocky gave me great service. That is, until the car got into the hands of the mechanic and my quoted estimate quadrupled for reasons I still don`t understand. Now, I had to return the car because the 4-wheel alignment and the new accessory belts they installed both need attention, read: poor workmanship. I dropped my car off at 9 pm on Friday night and left my ke... view morey in the lockbox. Saturday started with a phone call from them asking to be more specific about my car`s problems. Another phone call at 2 pm telling me everything was taken care of and could I get the car before 3 pm, when they closed. I told Kim, the receptionist, that I was working and could she leave the car on the lot with the key locked inside so that I could pick it up after hours with my spare? "No problem," she chirped. So after a long night at work, my boyfriend and I drove over to get the vehicle and after two tours through the extensive lot, no car. Finally we got out and peered through the service bay window, and there was my car, locked inside. At this point, I was immediately agitated, magnified by the fact that there was nothing and no one that could help me get my car out until morning. I called anyway, right from the parking lot, and left a message about needing to be contacted right away because my car was a hostage. Sunday morning came and went, no return phone call and my day off being ruined because I couldn`t get anything done without a car. Finally at 2:30 pm I called them again and got Vicki from sales. I explained the situation and she said she would call me right back. She did and told me that my car was sitting on the lot in the back and I could pick it up, it had been there the whole time. WHAT??!?!? There is NO WAY my boyfriend, Ryan, and I both missed the car twice. I felt lied to and tricked. When Ryan got off of work we headed straight to pick up the car and , again, after touring the lot, found it locked in the bay. At this point, I was furious, and we went into the sales room and asked why my car was still locked up. Vicki, the one I had spoken with, said she would see what she could do and that she was sorry, they had told her it was parked outside. A) She didn`t check?!?! And B)... SHE DIDN`T CHECK??!? We sat at a small table with gross stained chairs and waited while she spoke with Keith multiple times. The Sales Manager that I had spoken to earlier, Dan, never made an appearance to resolve the issue, just left it all hangin` on poor Vicki. After half an hour of being left in the dark, we decided to leave to get some errands done and I left my number with Vicki. About ten minutes later I missed a call from the dealership and when I called right back there was no answer and I was on hold for almost four minutes listening to the insipid song about the Southern dealership franchise. Anyway, I hung up and listened to the voicemail that Vicki left me, which said, basically: "Hey, we are leaving and closing up shop, I can`t get ahold of Keith, his phone is off. Here is his personal number. Good luck!" NO FREAKING WAY. So they locked up and left as soon as we stepped out. I immediately called Keith, whose phone was suddenly and conveniently turned off and left a message for him to call me ASAP. I then realized I had the number of Rocky, the original guy I dealt with, and when I called him he informed me that he no longer worked for the dealership because he didn`t like the business practices they employed there, nor did he think their customer service was acceptable. I am currently still without my car, have not heard back from Keith, and have no way of getting to work tomorrow. There is no way in hell I would ever ever recommend this dealership to anybody for any reason!
