i called this dealer for an average charge over the phone was told they try o keep it under $1800 when i went to the shop i was told that person was dismissed because he was not supposed to do that. however i was told it would be less than the auto dealer dealer wanted $3100. so manager told me they would look at it for a preliminary estimate and if i decided not to have it repaired it would cost me roughly $30... view more0 to put it back together after they looked at it he saild it does not look that bad(expensive to fix)they could go the rest of the wayand if i decided not to do that it would cost me $600 to put it back together but it doesn`t look that bad and it looks like it will be alright certainly not as much as the dealer. end result they charged me $3100 and not as good warranty as the dealer. i checked with a reputable shop and they quoted me $2200 rebuilt trans and torque converter installed with 3yr warranty.went back to aamco complain and they refunded me$500 and i still payed $400 to much and not as good warranty
