I have purchased goods and services from RPM several times. My first experience was with tint. They did a great job with the tint. They were friendly, did exactly what I wanted, it looks great and I have had no issues with it. I do feel like at $400 I paid a premium. My second experience was purchasing HID headlights from them. Again they were friendly. The item was not in stock and had to be ordered. It to... view moreok a few more days than expected and although they said they would call when the item arrived I called to find out the item had come in. They apologized and I have had no issues with the item thus far. My last experience was with an alignment. This was at another shop they have just down the road. My car had been lowered a bit after I installed a new coilover system. I took the car to them to get the alignment adjusted accordingly. I threw on some camber adjustment bolts so they would be able to adjust the camber angle. I called the shop and told them the deal. They understood the car had camber bolts and said they could do the alignment. The price was $140 which I felt was ok seeing it was not a textbook alignment. They called me back about 2 hours after dropping it off saying the bolts were on backward and it would be another $90 to get the alignment done. The bolts were not on backward, the camber was just set to negative instead of positive camber. This is corrected by loosening the bolt and rotating a special washer 180 degrees and the bolt has to be loosened to perform the fine adjustments anyway. THis is maybe 5 minutes of work. I asked if they could just do it under the $140 they quoted me but would not. I asked that they stop working and I would pick my car up. On the phone they wanted to charge me $30 for the work they already did (checking the alignment I guess). I was a bit bothered by that seeing we agreed to a price and the price changed. When I arrived to pick up my car they ended up not charging me anything which was the only redeeming thing about the experience. I give this shop a blended rating of 3 stars. I would say the tint experience was a 5, but the alignment a 2. I second the other reviews. This is a great shop for tint but be careful when it comes to other services.

This business did a FANTASTIC ...

This business did a FANTASTIC job with the recent tint job for my Pontiac Firebird! He used ONE sheet of tint for the back glass, which I did not think was even possible, and the finished product is amazing!! I had started to think that excellent tinting was impossible to find, but RPM has given me faith that someone can do it correctly and they have earned a loyal customer. BAD EXPERIENCE.

A few weeks ago i took my BMW 330 CI Coupe to RPM in Richmond Virginia (West Broad Street) to get my coilover kit installed and, boy am i sorry i did that.. This was my second time doing business with RPM and definately my last after that experience. The reason why i took my coilover kit to RPM in the first place was the fact that they claimed to be experts in installing coilovers. They examined the contents of th... view moree box and confirmed that the complete kit was in the box. I was initially estimated at five hours of labor which was done in less than two hours ( i know this because i was there). The five hours turned into a nine hour job after they figured out they were missing the front adjustable sway bar links about two hours into the installation.The links were not included in kit and the company that makes the coilover kit were not obligated to provide the links. .At that point the coilovers were completely installed and it took the mechanic less than an hour to get some sway bar links that could work. It took them less than ten minutes to install the `illusive part` which would put us at around three and a half hours of llabor, max. After the coilovers were installed along with the new sway bar links the car was taken to a seperate shop for an alignment and was returned several hours later along with a $1080 bill! Someone please do the math... 2. After the job was completed i had intentions of driving 200 miles to North Corolina and had to return after five minutes in my trip because all my lug nuts were finger tightened-- LITERALLY FINGER TIGHTENED!!! 3. My lower skirt was scratched up and they broke several clips that holds on the panel. I think they were possibly broken using the lift. 4. After my test drive i heard a clunk when turning corners slowly, so i called the shop and was told by the sales rep that this was normal and the coilovers neede to set. I demanded to speak to the mechanic that installed the coilovers and after several minutes of dropped calls and long hold time we finally spoke long enough for him to CONFIRM what the sales rep told me, which was `this is normal!!!!` 5. I drove to North Corolina and had another mechanic inspect my suspension and several problems were pointed out. 6. To make a long story short my car is currently parked to prevent it from getting worse. I will have the kit reinstalled by mechanics that knows what they are doing and needless to say myself or anyone that knows me are extremely unhappy right now. To summerize this whole thing RPM charged me over a $1000 for a $500 job which i may have to pay more to undo. on a positive note`--- i guess it was a good thing i caught the finger tight lug nuts holding my wheels to my car before i drove over 200 miles to North Corolina!!

Very satisfied with service

I`ve had two separate services completed at this shop. About a year ago I had my windows tinted to lessen the heat levels in the summer and damage to the interior. The added bonus is how great the car looks! Strangers stop me all the time to mention the tint and how it looks. Recently I took the car in for service ( alignment, brakes , etc)- I drove away and couldn`t believe the ride- It rides like a dream, not b... view moread for a car with over 160,000 miles! Service was great- I was pleased with my experience at this shop.

Just Okay

They finished in a timely manner, however they were over priced and charge for every little thing. You buy a package kit for the price listed and it clearly states with installation and somehow you end up paying more.

Great Deal!

Had an intake and exhaust put on my car from them did a great job sounded great and when i told them i could get the parts somewhere else cheaper they gave me a better deal then the other company i found. def give them props its a small shop but i would say i enjoyed the work performed Would def recommend

GOOD EXPERIENCE

I HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AT THIS BUSINESS. THE STAFF MADE ME FEEL WELCOMED AS SOON AS I ARRIVED. THE LOUNGE AREA AND RESTROOMS WERE CLEAN AND WELL MAINTAINED. MY CAR WAS FIXED PROPERLY AND THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE. I WILL CONTINUE TO CHOOSE THEM ANY TIME I NEED MY VEHICLE REPAIRED.
