I went to Norton after finding them on the internet. After reading ad after ad or craigslist, went in to their office and got my vehicle the same day. I have since refered my cousin and my sister. Thanks for the help !!!

Shady business - Illegally installed GPS

This place is a shady business at best and thieves and scam artists at worst.

Last Saturday I took my wife to a hotel to enjoy an extended 3 day romantic valentines day week-end away from the kids.

When leaving Tuesday we find our car is gone! I asked the hotel if they had it towed and they said no, I then called the police to file a stolen car report.

While in the process of filing the report the officer told me in fact my car was not stole but repossessed! I was shocked. First, I was not behind on my payments and seconded, we have not been home in 3 days, how the hell did they locate the car?

I?ˆ™m certain it was because the car has an illegally installed GPS so when these thieves are ready to revoke your financing they know exactly where your car is.

I called Norton automotive right away to see what the problem was and they told me then had taken back possession of the car for no insurance!!! What the hell. I tell them that is a mistake. I then call my insurance and they confirm there had been no lapse in coverage and faxed Norton automotive the proof.

I then called Norton automotive back and asked if I can come get my car since it was a mistake on there part and the car should not have been repossessed. He said to call back tomorrow.

I called back the next day and they said they were cancelling my contact and I would not be getting my car back. I then said I know my car had a hidden GPS tracking unit installed in the car. He immediately denied my accusation and when I asked how is it they were able to locate the car. No surprise ?ˆ¦. he then hung up on me.

I leased a car from Norton Automotive Group.

My payment?ˆ™s are due the 8th of every month & I bring them directly to the car lot.

I call in on the 7th & ask if I may bring in my payment on the 12th. Chris says that will be fine.

I wake up the morning of the 9th to find my car gone. I thought someone stole it. I call HPD only to find out it was repossessed!

I called Norton Automotive to fin... view mored out why they came and picked up the car after I arranged to make the payment on Monday and they refused to answer my question and just stated they can revoke my financing at anytime and that is what they choose to do!

What an awful company. They are predatory lenders looking to take advantage of those w/ bad credit.

Every time I have been to Norton Automotive Group, whenever some one calls the 1st thing that say is ?ˆ?do you have bad credit??ˆ? if the answer is ?ˆ?yes?ˆ? they say ?ˆ?great - come on in?ˆ? if the answer is ?ˆ?no?ˆ? they say ?ˆ?oh, well we only work with people with bad credit?ˆ?.

I am convinced this is because they do not want you to complete your lease. They want you to miss your payment (even if only by 24 hours) so they can come get your car and re-lease it and pocket the $1,000?ˆ™s you have already paid. They picked my car up Friday and it was re-listed on Craig list the same day! WOW!

There is a special place in hell for this ?ˆ?group?ˆ?

BTW - they have an F rating w/ the BBB & I found 18 bad reviews on numerous websites for Norton Automotive Group.

I wish I knew 6 months ago what I know today.
