Bad Work

I will never go to this shop again. I brought my car in for an oil change and was told I needed a new gasket for my valve cover box. I got the work done. Three days later I had to pay another mechanic to replace the same gasket. The old gasket was not removed completely and the new gasket was installed improperly. I went back to Kwik Kar and was connected to a manager by telephone(there was not a manager at the ... view moreactual store). He hung up on me while I was explaining the problem. I paid $160 to learn never to go to this shop again. Take your vehicle to Kwik Kar only if you want poor customer service, poor workmanship, and to give away money.

Worst place ever!

Warning, only go there if you want them to: 1. Lie to about the prices they charge. 2. Perform work without actually confirming the work with you. 3. Have management call you a liar when you question why they performed work without you authorizing it. 4. Kick you out of their store when you question their business practices. 5. Kwik Scam

Go in for a oil change, they ask you....would you like synthetic oil, say yes. They do not tell you it will cost more. They put it in your car and charge you $95.00. After the oil is in my car they charge me, without telling me it will cost more than a regular oil change. They are con artist. Nothing but a scam!

Always get great service

I read previous reviews and I have never had trouble like that before. The worst problem I`ve had is a long line of customers. Yes, they always try to sell you something like a coolant flush or air filter but that is their job. I politely decline and that`s that. They aren`t pushy at all. In fact, it doesn`t even seem like a sales pitch. It`s more like ""hey, we noticed you haven`t had the recommended service and we ... view morewant you to know you can do it here instead of the dealership"". If I decline, the print the recommended service at the bottom of my receipt. I`ve taken these recommendations to my dealership and they agreed that they needed to be done and stated that they were not trying to sell me unnecessary services. Also, a couple of the mechanics have pointed out things I needed to get repaired that they aren`t able to service for me. They seem to genuinely care about the customers. I`ve always had great service and friendly attitudes and I`ve been going there for over a year. Maybe they`ve gotten a better manager since the previous reviews. I`ve never seen an upset customer there. I can`t say that for the dealership I go to!

Lies to Customers - BEWARE!!

I went to Kwik Kar for my annual inspection. I didn`t pass since I had my check engine light fixed the same day. The manager told me that since I didn`t pass, DPS required him by law to remove my UNEXPIRED inspection sticker. I asked him to show me in writing the law that requires him to remove an unexpired sticker. He then told me if I get pulled over to just show the officer my inspection report and everything ... view morewould be fine. He was never able to prove his story.

While I was waiting, I called a friend and asked him to call DPS for me to verify the manager`s claim. According to DPS, the manager`s story was absolutely not true, and the police will not accept an inspection report showing a failed inspection as a valid reason to not write a ticket. After about 10 minutes, the guy knew I was calling his bluff. I asked him to get his boss on the phone.

He spoke to his boss for a few minutes behind closed doors and then gave me the phone. His boss told me that he had made a mistake and there was nothing they could do, since they could not give me a new inspection sticker. Finally, they dug my old, ripped up sticker out of the trash and taped it back up on my windshield. It`s nice to drive around being afraid of getting pulled over ... I could have been fine if he had just admitted that he removed my sticker before knowing if I was going to pass or not, but he chose to lie to me and try to feed me a line of garbage thinking I was dumb enough to believe him.

Avoid like the plague

My Husband went here about 6 months ago to get his oil changed and about two days later his engine was almost burned up because they did not put his oil cap on tight enough and it came off. If he did not realize what had happened the car could have been ruined. I went there yesterday to get my inspection. They said my emergency brake and my engine need some adjustment. they said they could do it for me for me. T... view morehey could not get my engine adjusted so I take it to my regular Mechanic he adjusts the engine in about 30 seconds (they were turning the wrong screws) and tested my parking brake and said it was fine (no adjustment necessary). I went to a different place and it passed with flying colors. This place is going to try to squeeze every penny they can out of you. I only went there cause it is right around the corner from my house but I will NEVER go there again.
