I`ve been going to this garage...
I`ve been going to this garage for years, I used to know the owners. But ever since it was sold the shop lost all of its integrity. My mother took her 04 focus there in September to get her car serviced. After finding out they overcharged us they also STOLE our battery. I didn`t realize until the battery died and I had to get it replaced and took it in because its still covered under warranty and it was a completely ... view moreDIFFERENT brand. The car wasn`t even serviced for the battery. When confronted them they denied it but they were the last hands to touch the car. THIS SHOP HAS NO MORALS OR INTEGRITY IN GETTING THE JOB DONE RIGHT. THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE COMMUNITY OR REPEAT CUSTOMERS. THEY JUST WANT FAST MONEY FOR A HORRIBLE JOB. DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CONDITIONS.

I trusted this firm with exten...
I trusted this firm with extensive repairs to my truck. In about three months, I had spent nearly four thousand dollars. I was told (in writing) that all their repairs were covered for 12 month or twelve thousand miles. The expense of the work would be OK in and of itself, but first the brake job failed and Adolph`s refused to take responsibility for getting the truck to their shop--I was expected to either drive ... view morethe truck with failed brakes or pay to have it towed in. Since I now live about 35 miles away, I opted to have the failed brake repaired locally by a different mechanic. Five months later, a seal kit applied to the power steering system [by Adolf`s] failed--according to my new local mechanic, Christian Brothers. Without knowing about the previous repairs by Adolf`s, they examined my steering system to discover the cause of a serious fluid leak. They conclusively determined that it was due to a failed seal at the top of the steering gear box. They emphasized that it was NOT due to any cracks or other issues with the gear box itself. They recommended that new seals (a seal kit) be installed. I explained that exactly such maintenance had been performed not too many months earlier and was still in warranty. I then took the truck 35 miles down to Adolf`s. They cleaned off the gear box that was covered with fluid from the trip down to their shop, and took pictures of the then dry [dried off] seals to "PROVE" that the seals were not at fault and they were not responsible. I was told that the problem was an "internal" leak. I questioned what that meant and was told that fluid was leaking through the gearbox housing. I asked how that could be if not through a seal. At first, I got no solid answer from the owner`s daughter, and so I asked if that meant through a crack in the housing. She said that she could not see any crack in the photo and was otherwise unaware of such an issue. I then asked to speak with the mechanic, but was not allowed to so do. Instead, she talked with her dad, the shop`s current owner, and returned saying that indeed there MUST be a crack because it was NOT the seals--but she could not and did not verify the existence of any actual crack. The owner refused to complete the warranty work and I am left to find some other costly remedy. In good conscience, I cannot recommend this repair facility.

Great business
My father, Carl Smith, used Adolf Hoepfl Garage services for many many years. After my college days, I moved around the corner from the Hoepfl`s home and used them for my BMW car repairs. I was very satisfied. I moved and had to change to a shop nearby who gave me the shaft. Since I know bone here from Sick`em and am now more mature, I returned to Adolf Hoepfl Garage even though my commute is much further...all th... view moree way from Montgomery County! I feel that Adolf Hoepfl Garage, especially with the new owners, is honest, above board and reasonable...and definitely worth the trip. Carlene Moore Weaver

Honest Auto Repair & Civic-minded
I could have been in for a nightmarish experience but good fortune led me to Hoepfl & Son Garage. I was from out of town when my vehicle wouldn`t start. Was told by others it was the starter, information which I gave to Sally (service mgr) and set my self up to spend several hundred dollars. John, the technician, found it to be loose battery cables -- NO CHARGE! I asked them do other work I knew I needed to done. Th... view moreey got me in and out. Other customers came in to have work done and were known by name even by the technicians - it was like being in a small town. Also, very civic-minded. Free copies of The Constitution. They were giving 2 free oil changes if you donated $60 to the MS Foundation. The owner, Kathryn, came in wearing bike riding outfit, having just come from an event where she was promoting a charity bike ride. In a couple of weeks they are having a special Saturday for ladies to come learn about routine vehicle maintenance, have lunch and have their vehicles examined at no charge. A great place - Houston is very lucky!

They Back Up Their Work - Integrity and Pride are Alive
I had extensive engine work done on my 1999 Lexus ES300 in October - It took two visits to get the work done on my budget. The Adolf Hoepfl & Sons crew were understanding and very professional. When I noticed a small oil leak six or seven weeks later I called and Sally said to `bring it on in,` which I did. Sybren meet me up front and insisted on looking into the issue himself. They discovered that the parts shop ha... view mored sent over the wrong gasket or ring of some sort. Mr. Sybren van der Pol fixed my car at no cost or inconvenience to me - He footed the bill for the gasket/ring. That is what I call GOOD SERVICE. Count me as a satisfied current and future customer at the shop.

Honest Place, Excellent Service
I took my mini cooper to Adolf Hoepfl and Son Garage to get the a/c fixed. I had looked into a couple of other auto service places and expected to pay around $1500 to get the compressor replaced with a couple other parts. After they looked at my car they told me the expensive part was actually fine, and the fix was more simple. They also found I was leaking coolant and had a problem with my power steering hose. T... view morehey fixed everything for around $800. I would never have gotten out for less than $1000 at the dealership. I was so impressed by everything they fixed. Their service was also excellent. They took the time to explain everything, call around for the best deal on parts, and they were great to talk with. I would recommend this place to anyone. As a female and I felt very comfortable that no one underestimated my car knowledge or tried to rip me off. I had a great experience. I also like that they are very involved in the community. This is the most unique auto shop I`ve seen.

More than I expected
The service here takes me back to the days when people cared about doing a good job and making a customer feel like they were more than just a walking dollar bill.
Got what I wanted, at a fair price and when promised. They provided a clear explaination of what repairs I needed then explained the cost to me so I could understand. There was no pressure and no hard sell. They did point out a problem that I didn`t kn... view moreow I had, a tire with the steel belt sticking out of it. They at least saved me from having to change a tire on the side of the road and maybe from a lot worse.

Truly honest people to do business with
After having several minor things tended to on my car at this facility, I have found the owners to be truly trustworthy people that care for the safety of my family by making sure my vehicle is in road ready condition. Not only do they fix those items I bring to their attention, but they also have the keen eye to spot other things that need attention. The owners and technicians care about my family and I appreciate t... view morehat!

Excellent mechanics, honest and fair auto repair garage
I`d heard from several of neighbors in Shepherd Park Plaza that Adolf Hoepfl was an excellent, trustworthy auto repair garage. Their service and mechanical expertise is far above par. They do not nickel and dime me to death. Whenever we take our late model vehicles in for repair or maintenance they let us know what the problem is in a timely manner along with a fair estimate of the cost. They`ll tell you what wo... view morerk needs to be done now and what can wait. They also give me a ride home for free when I need to leave my car there. They have our business and I`ll continue to refer Adolf Hoepfl to everyone.
