Great service, Great pricing, Great Guys!
Finally, a repair shop with integrity! I came to Ron`s Downtown Auto Service strictly based off their impressive online reviews & now am proud to be yet another completely satisfied customer. Ron & his brother Mike didn`t give me the typical "little miss" routine mechanics are known for, but actually took the time to listen to my needs and explain their solution for my car repairs. Good Service
Ron was recommended to me by a friend who drives a Volvo, so I was a little worried that his prices my be too much for my 10 year old Saturn. I thought I was facing a new transmission which would cost more than my car was worth. Ron and his staff managed to change out some gasket thingy, and they put some sort of goo on the outside to stop the leak. Fairly priced & Honest - what more can you ask for?
I have an accord that has 117 miles on it and hasn`t had the timing belt replaced, so I was basically driving on borrowed time. I called several shops including the dealership which I knew would be my highest price quote (but they had a 15% off coupon) and found some other places that quoted me around $100 less, but didn`t include replacing the water pump or any of the other belts. When I called Ron - he asked me f... view moreor the range of what everyone else quoted and he met me in the middle and included the same services that the dealership would have performed.
I dropped it off at 7:30 (Michael @ Ron`s drove me to work) and I picked it up the next day, which is understandable because they do have a small shop and timing belts are a pain. Very pleased and I will use him again.
With ANY mechanic, plumber, painter, or anyone that you have to hire to do something you can`t, - you have to do your research!!! I`m a girl and I know that...c`mon.. :)

Best service in Houston!
I`ve brought my car to Ron`s five or six times now and each time it`s been seen promptly and usually fixed the same day. The prices have always been very reasonable and Ron is always very concerned with customer satisfaction and treats people sincerely.

Finally, a mechanic you can trust
This is truly the best auto service place I have ever been to. Over the years I have gone through many mechanics, as many people have. I have always felt as though I was being swindled. I took my car to a mechanic when I thought I needed brakes, so I asked them to check. They told me it would be $600 and that I needed a full overhaul on them. So, a friend suggested I take my car to Rons Downtown Auto for a secon... view mored opinion. Ron, the owner, looked at them and told me the other guys were screwing me. I had at least another six months on it. He had a customer from then on.
I have 2 high mileage cars that he has been taking care of for 3 years now and they have very few issues that he cannot resolve cost effectively and efficiently. You should not take your car anywhere else!

Taken for a Ride.
Hurricanne Ike came through Houston and made most businesses without electricity or water but Ron`s place was lucky. I came in needing some service, and I left spending: I think double to triple what I normally would had paid somewhere else. I have spoken to others about this and they all believe I been "" price gouged"" and taken for a ride.

Been here and won`t comeback
I should have left when I saw a fence full of cars getting aged outside. I live in the Midtown Area so I have seen it a couple of times. I needed a rountine maintenance service for my vehicle a major one 60k. After, almost $600 plus dollars later and driving away. I went to my dealer because I had a letter for some recalls they explained to me that I needed some free services. After the dealer fixed my recalls, they ... view morementioned I need some services. Those services they mentoned: I should have gotten with my 60k service. I paid for a service which from Ron`s that I didn`t receive.
