Swung by the Pep boys in Irving a few months back due to my car making noise and they advised I needed new struts. Took my car in last week (26FEB) to Pep boys in Bedford and told them this and left car to have struts replaced and asked for Serpentine belt to be replaced due to steering making noise. Pep boys advised there were 2 belts so I told them to replace both. Got a call on the 27h that the car was ready ... view morethe struts had been replaced. Asked about belts and they said they were not carried over to the work order for the tech so they weren`t done. I advised I would leave the car there until that was done. Got a call the next day and all things were complete/went and paid 841.17 for all work. Drove car off and went back to work...the first dip I hit I noticed the noise was still there...had gotten worse. Took back and left car to have them find out what is wrong. Called and said it was bushing...they sprayed them with a special lubricant and that I would need to get them replaced along with Other stuff that they would go over when I got there. Went to pick up car and they advised that the noise was "almost all the way gone" and to come back in a week or so if it was worse and they would regrease the bushings. At this time I was told that I needed to replace the 1/ hard bushings/2/Lower control arms-front/3/sway bars front and rear/4/upper control arm rear/5/and what looks like on the suggested sheet 5/toe bar on rear- ( I don`t have a tow bar on car). Advised they would call with an estimate-have never hear back-they would also try and work with me on the cost due to never advised during the strut replacement/or eval. that what was actually making the noise was not the struts at all but the bushings and other thing....or I would have gotten them replaced 1st. Very upset that car still makes the same noise-though I was advised verbally and via the technician that the noise was not there anymore. I told them from the beginning that it is very loud and noticable when you drive over a speed bump of a dip....and I don`t believe that they ever test drove it or they would had heard that the noises are still there. Called twice and never got a call back from manager
