Absolute nightmare. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!! They overcharge for parts and always, and I mean always find something else wrong with your car. I had my car towed over there and told Matt on the phone that I believe the problem was the alternator. The battery was pretty new being purchased earlier in April of the same year. I even told him that. He called me back and said it was the battery. He put a new bat... view moretery in the car. After paying for the service, I started the car in the parking lot and the battery light along with various other lights were blinking. I went back in to inform Matt and he said that his tech had left for the night and that he could keep it over night. I told him that the check engine light was also blinking now and that it had not been blinking earlier. He said that he has no way of knowing that since the car was dead when it was towed over there. He was going to charge me $100 to diagnose the "check engine light". I told him that I would just take the car home. I called Pep Boys the next morning to see if the battery was still under warranty. They towed it in to their shop and said the battery is dead because the alternator is bad. After recharging the battery, I barely got the car home. I took the battery that Driver`s Edge had sold me back to them for a refund. They said that they would not exchange it because I had "authorized" the service. I told them that the only reason I authorized the service was because I trusted their word as supposed professionals. After misdiagnosing the problem with my vehicle in the first place, they had the audacity to try to keep my money. I was furious. I couldn`t believe what was happening. He only kept repeating that I had authorized the service. After arguing with the General Manager for about 10 minutes, he finally agreed to use the money I had spent toward an alternator replacement. I bought a new alternator at O`Reilly`s and they installed it. Needless to say, the car runs fine now. In addition to being incompetent, Matt was extremely rude and immature. He talked down to me. I also found it funny that he wasn`t able to diagnose the alternator after I told him what the problem was but was able to identify that I had a power steering pressure hose leak. He told me that the part alone to replace would be $850! Yes, that is not a typo, $850!! I found 3 different places online that charge between $220 to $250. I will never darken the doorway of that place again! Absolutely terrible in every way!!

0 stars really!
Before you fall for their $29.99 oil change deal, think again! They`re after your money, and are not professional. Long story short they destroyed my crankshaft in my engine and my starter during a oil change, and inconveniently had to keep my car for 2 and a half days to fix. Then they would n ot even help me get a rental! I ended up having a problem with my car not starting 3 months later and was told before if ... view moreI had any further issues to bring it back so they could check on the repairs since it was under their warranty. They did not keep their word and tried to charge me for a diagnosis & towing charge. I told them my issue prior to coming, and they advised me to use a towing company they use in order to tow my car to them, and that they covered the towing charge! I declined the service to replace a FUEL pump for almost $1500, which is ridiculous since a fuel pump is less than $350, and the rest was labor. I refuse to let them work on anything else. Management ultimately sucks, so much for trying to keep a customer and being so apologetic for the prior damage.

Run and run fast. You better of dealing with a shade tree mechanic. I brought my vehicle in to have a dianostics test, codes were found and recommeded repairs were performed by business, but same problem still exist. To whom it may concern, On or about 03/08/2013, I took my 2002 Chevy Silverado to DRIVER`S EDGE to get an estimate on having an oil leak repaired, squeaking under the truck and an ABS/Brake lights po... view morepping on. After about fifteen minutes in the service bay a technician called me outside to discuss the issues that he found with my vehicle. He stated that the oil leak was coming from between the motor and transmission and was probably a seal, but that the diagnostic revealed other engines problems. At the time truck ran fine, but after considering it had over 200,000 miles I asked him to give me a quote on fixing the other problems as well. He then began discussing the issue with my ABS/Brake lights popping on. He stated he had the code and the problem was caused by a bad wheel assembly hub. At that point I asked him to give a quote to have all of the work performed. Although I never experienced a braking problem, the lights popping on was annoying so wanted to have it fixed. He quoted me the price for a top engine rebuild and wheel hub assembly to be replaced and stated that this would resolve the issues. He wrote up an estimate and I agreed for them to complete the work. On 03/15/2013 I went to pick up the truck, I drove it one block and the ABS/brake lights popped on. I made a U-turn came back to the shop to show them that the lights were back on. They pulled it back into the bay for a few minutes did something and brought it back to me stating that I needed to drive it a while and it would go out. After getting it home it went out and stayed out for almost two days, but popped back on. I called the shop and was told to bring it back. On 03/26/2013 I took it back and they keep it overnight. I was later called once again and told we have you ready, the lights are out. I picked up the truck, drove for about a couple of days and the lights popped back on. I again called the shop and told them that I would be back. On 04/05/2013 I went back to the shop and informed Danny that the lights popped back on and that was also hearing a clicking noise coming from the engine upon a cold start. He stated we`ll take a look at it. We don`t want to mess up that new engine. They took the truck to the service bay, cleaned the grounds for the ABS/Brake system, checked the fluids and stated it`s not losing any fluids. This did not resolve either issue. The lights came back on and nor did he explain the clicking noise. At point he stated that would keep the ticket open, but could not duplicate the problem. When the lights popped back on Danny stated that the problem was now caused by a bad control module. He stated it`s like a flow chart we start with this first and if that don`t resolve the problem we move to the next thing. I replied that what shade tree mechanics do. I thought I was coming to a reputable shop. I stated, I don`t know what`s bad, but when I brought it in to have it checked I described the problem, your technician arn a dianostic and said the cause of my problem was a bad wheel assembly hub. He then stated he would try to locate a brake module and give me call later. After not receiving a call, I called him the next evening to see what was going on, he suggested that he could have my brake control module rebuilt for $750 at my expense. By this time, we had a breakdown in communication and Danny said that he had spoke to his operations manager earlier and that I should be receiving a call. Later that evening I received a call from John (Director of Operations), only to be insulted once more by asking what do I think is fair. I replied anything short me having the problems resolved that I described when I brought my truck in for repairs would be totally unacceptable.

I`d place no star at all if the system allows. I had been using this facility for quite a few years and sort of trusted them. However, as many other reviewers mentioned, they always came up with something that needed to be done on the car every time I went there, ending up costing over $100-$200 dollars. What really threw me off was their dealing with my wife`s car. The car needed a replacement of brakes. We got a qu... view moreote from the dealer, which was about $600. We went to Driver`s edge, they gave a quote of $900! I told them that we were returning customers and asked for a honest price. They said that was the best price they could give. Then I told them the dealer`s quote, they immediately said OK that they could do it at $600. I decided to trust them one last time and told them go ahead do it. Several days after the work, the car displayed warning on the brake system. We had to go back more than three times to get the issue resolved. It turned out that they didn`t use the part that they promised, which fooled us but not the car (a Germany car) computer system. They had to admit it and finally settled the issue. I am not going back there ever, and you shouldn`t neither.

okay i took my 09 mustang in to get an oil change and attempted to explain an issue i was having with my steering wheel shaking in which case i was interrupted and told it had to be the rotors he would look at them and quote me a price. i got a phone call about an hour and a half later saying my "rotors were at spec and couldnt be saved, also my front brake pads were severely worn and my back pads had about 10% ... view moreleft on them, and to fix ONLY the FRONT would be $400" i said thanks but no thanks.. i took my car to a friend whose a mechanic for a living (he wasnt available the day i took my car in to drivers edge) and here is what he showed me... my front pads had about 40% left on them but one was wearing a little funny and was the cause of my steering wheel issue... front pads.. $45... also there was nothing horribly wrong with my rotors.. orielys was more than happy to machine them for me while i waited.. machining front rotors.. $15... long story short i am irate with how i was treated at this place! but my car is working perfectly now and i saved a ton of money! oh an ps.. they didnt even put windsheild wiper fluid in my car with my oil change...

I am writing this review based...
I am writing this review based on my experiences with Driver`s Edge in Irving branch. I took my car (camary, 2003) to this place for oil change today at 3:30 PM . I guy seems to be the head told me that it would be done very soon . I waited till 5:05 PM to get the work done and finally some other guy called me to get the payment. I asked for the AC check ?ˆ“up which I had also requested as part of promotional cou... view morepon. He called the original guy who had taken the order from me. This guy started giving some excuses and they could not do it, and when I complained that I had to wait so long and he should have told me earlier that it would take so much of time. This guy shouted very badly and then threw the keys at my head and told me not to come again. I was like dumbfounded , shocked and very insulted..It was the worst behavior I have seen. Very unprofessional !!. At least he should have understood my concerns and politely have told me that it was his mistake, -Manish

I am writing this review based...
I am writing this review based on my experiences with Driver`s Edge in Irving branch. I normally took my car to this place for oil change but every time, they always told me there was(were) something wrong with my car and need to be fixed immediately. At first, I didn`t know their real intention, they came to talk to me real nice and tried to convince me to fix car with them. I let them fix my car many times, I paid ... view morefew hundred dollars every time. There was one time, they checked my car and said something was wrong again and asked me to fix it. I asked them the cost, they said $950. I told them that I didn`t want to fix today. Then they charged me $60 for labor to check the car or this $60 would be applied to $900 if I fixed with them. I refused and let them charge me. I took my car to other mechanic shop, they fixed my car for $250. I still took my car to have oil change with them and refused to all of their ideas about what they found something wrong with my car. They got upset. After I got my car back, they said they replaced the filter but when I drove back home. I smelled something bad in my car coming from the a/c windows. Normally, I wouldn`t smell this bad. I doubted if they really replaced the filter. I also alignment done by this place but when I drove out, I felt my car was going too much right side, it was not the same. I also doubted if they did do the job. That was my last time that I took my car to their place, I never went back there again. I would NOT recommend anyone to get car fixed or have oil change with Driver`s edge in Irving. They used to be good back few years ago when I had oil change with them. Now, they are totally not reliable anymore to me. I don`t trust them anymore. Who knows if they break my car or do something bad to my car if I don`t fix with them but just oil change. It`s their strategy or trick, once you let them check your car no matter what you just want oil change, they will convince you to fix car with you. Do not fall into their trap. Your car may not be the same as before and end up with paying more. Take car to the dealer is the best.

Buyer Beware! Unless You Want Ongoing Mechanical Issues with your vehicle! Stay Away!
Brought my vehicle to the Mitsubishi Dealership for the 90,000 mile service. Once they told me it was gonna be about $450.00 plus tax just to do some routine maintenance. I figured I could take it somewhere else for cheaper. Sure enough Drivers Edge is right around the corner from my place. So I called them up and they said they would do the same service and change the spark plugs for a fraction of the price $310... view more.00 to be exact. After speaking with them on the phone and myself having considerable automobile knowledge. I felt comfortable with having them do the work. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! Since then my car has not been the same. When I got it back they bent the hood and left the old spark plugs underneath the hood! My hood wouldn`t shut all the way. Then to top it all off, I am damn positive they forgot to change the oil and filter. They claimed they forgot to change the sticker. But after all their mishaps would they really fess up to not changing the oil. Hell no. They did agree to fix the hood no questions asked but obviously cause they messed it up. Regardless, more importantly it runs like crap right now. So now I am bringing it back to the MITSU dealer hoping there isn`t more serious damage cause of how bad it is running right now. Unbelievable. Whatever you do, do not make the mistake I did.
