Great place to look for a used car
This the second used car that I bought from Brandon from Goodson Honda. The first was a 2004 Honda Odyssey and recently a 2007 Toyota Matrix. Brandon is the Internet Manager and was helpful in getting us a good drive out price. I was very happy with the transaction. Filling out the paper work was very long but understandable. Try to opt out of the dealership paint sealant and fabric protection, it`s $300.00 ouch (it`... view mores on all the cars)
When buying a used car always make sure you ask for at least two sets of keys because this car only had one. I asked if they would help me out by splitting the cost of a second set and said ""no, this car only came with one set and you will have to go to the Toyota Dealership to buy an other set.""
It cost over a hundred dollars for the second set of keys. (new car keys have transponder chips that make it harder to steal your car and cost more)
Brandon did give me a Goodson umbrella and a new car kit. I recommend Brandon if you are shopping for a new Honda or a used car.

These people are wonderful
We`ve bought several cars through this dealership and every time we have received outstanding care. They have gone out of their way in giving us great service at extremely reasonable prices. Goodson Honda goes that extra mile in making the customer happy.

Bought car here in Oct 2008 and love it!
I feel like I got exactly what I went in there looking for. I noticed the worst reviews are from people who didn`t actually purchase a car there. I hope they eventually got what they were looking for elsewhere but I would definitely recommend this dealership.
I had to get car after hurricane Ike flooded my old one beyond repair. I didn`t even use it as a trade in although it was offered. I used the money I got... view more from my insurance company to make my down payment on a 2008 Honda CR-V instead. We went in on a Saturday afternoon to look at the cars available and got to test drive the one we liked. The salesman was very friendly and not overbearing! We told him we had to think about it and he gave us his card and told us some of the options we could get if we wanted. They were having specials due to Ike and even told us we could get a rental through them if we needed it. We came back two days later and bought the car and had the roof attatchment added to our package. I had to come back the next day to get the attachment put on, but they gave me a loaner CR-V to drive around in since it was going to take a little while due to the number of cars ahead of mine for service (I got there around 11am). I thought it was very nice for them to give me a loaner so I didn`t have to sit and wait an hour or two. It didn`t even take that long, by the time I came back my car was washed and ready to go.
I have never bought a new car before but it went fairly quickly and everything was explained to us so we could understand what exactly we were getting. In fact as it turned out we got the LoJack system free on it because another buyer wanted it installed and then didn`t purchase the car. They didn`t charge us because they had over looked it until after we`d already signed the contract. Frankly I love my CR-V. I had reseached for three weeks on several different consumer sites and decided this was want I wanted and we figured new was about the same cost as a used so might at well get all the bells and whistles.
It`s been about 8 months since I bought my car there and I haven`t had a single problem or issue. Perhaps they have gotten new staff since then or maybe the night staff is different considering the bad reviews. Maybe people were in a hurry? Who knows the real reason but I had a good experience there and I love my new car.

Why the bad reviews?
I just bought a pre owned VW Jetta here yesterday and I thought they were very professional and helpful. They gave me a rediculously good price on my Jetta and the car is in great shape. The only down side is that the sales lady told me that they would fill up my tank before I drove off in my car and when it gone back from getting the tags the other sales man told my mom ""well its got a half a tank left in it, that`... view morell do"". But it was almost to a 1/4 a tank when I drove off with it. But the process was very long, as it always takes almost a whole day to buy a car... But it was worth it because I love my car so much and they didn`t try to rip us off!

Service department screwed me
I lost my keys and needed to have the dealership cut me new ones ($45/key) at Russell & Smith. The keys then needed to be programmed and their programmer was down. They gave me a one-time code to start the car. I took off work, went home to start the car and drove to Goodson Honda West. They told me the keys did not need programming (wasted trip). I got home and the car would not restart - they did need programm... view moreing. Goodson Honda was not willing to pay for towing or offer to program the keys even though it was their mistake. I am now paying $300 ($97 for the keys, $100 towing, $100 programming fee) for 2 keys!!! I guess they really need the money since programming a key does not require parts and 5 minutes of labor. Please help me by not giving them business.

Extremely willing to negotiate, but VERY RUDE
What else do you expect from a car dealer when he shadows your every step and refuses to let you walk away? I`ve bought many cars in my life and know the drill....
I was debating between purchasing an Accord or a CRV. I went to Goodson and the young guy let me test drive both cars and told me all about it.... but they didn`t have the color I wanted for either, so I told him to call me when they got the right col... view moreored car in and turned for the door. The dealer insisted that I wait for him to get his manager to come talk to me. And by insisted, he was borderline yelling at me. Offended, I continued to walk out, but his manager came running after me. He pursuaded me to come into his office and discuss the deal.
Long story short, they didn`t have the color car I wanted. But the manager assured me that if I put a $1500 deposit and signed a contract, he could get me ""MY CAR"" shipped in two days. He even went down on the price. Now from experience, I know to never trust a car dealer`s word, so I bluntly said, ""No. I will not buy a car I`ve NEVER seen or test driven before.""
He persisted and I became aggravated. One last time, I said, ""No thank you.""
From that, the manager of this car dealer began insulting me! He basically told me that I`m going to set myself up for failure and will get screwed by another dealer by walking out. He told me I knew nothing about buying a car. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT???!!!!
I kept my cool, and just walked out. I will NEVER set foot there again.
