A Family Auto Service

I have been a Rick`s Hi-Tech Auto customer for more years than I care to admit publicly. I have taken a variety of cars to Rick`s from foreign to domestic, work vehicles to pleasure. My parents and children take their cars to Rick`s as well. I have had inspections, brakes, tires, A/C, unexplained noises...the full gambit of auto services needs. I have not always liked to pay the price of repairs but I HAVE always... view more received knowledgeable diagnoses, excellent care and friendly service. Even though he has no obligation to do so, Rick has provided a loaner car if the repair required me to be without a vehicle for a lengthy time. Rick supports the Katy community giving back to the schools through ads and team support and participates in the FFA Livestock Show. Rick goes the extra mile for his customers often staying after hours or meeting them in the middle of the night in an effort to make having an auto repair less of a hassle for them. Rick makes car care personal!

Great Service

I have used Rick`s several times over the last few months always with great service. They have been very straight with me regarding the repairs, even when I thought the issue was a more expensive repair, they told me otherwise and it cost me half what I expected. On one occasion they let me borrow a car they had while my was repaired on another, they brought me home and picked me up again.

Don`t go here if you`re a woman

One of my best friends took her saturn to get a full service oil change and broke down 2 weeks later . She called them because a good sameritan who pulled over to help said a hose had not been properly secured and that they may have caused the problem. They offered to tow the car to their shop and if it was a problem they caused they would take care of it at no charge if it was not she would need to pay for the towin... view moreg and repairs. They called her late that day and said that they could find nothing wrong and that she would have to pay for an indepth inspection becasue the visual showed nothing wrong. After and indepth inspection they decided her warnign light and gas gage was faulty put some gas into it and $200 later sent her on her way. the next day the car broke down again. Another machanic determined the motor mounts were broken (visibly so) and fixed them and car run fine now. Ricks was then contacted by her and she was told
motor mounts would not interfere in the drivability of the car and that she was not made aware of the problem by them becase"" people don`t want a list of problems when they bring a car in they just want the immediate problem fixed"" . I think she was taken advantage of because she was female so unless you know alot about cars and don`t want to made aware of problems becase""people don`t like that"" avoid this shop. The ""christian"" advertising is almost laughable if this is how they treat people!
