I live in Houston, TX. My son (19years) was in an accident in Houston and car was badly damaged so needed to be towed. At the scene, we were not asked which tow company we wanted so, I asked the police officer how I would choose the wrecker (at least 6 showed up) to have my car towed, he told me ?ˆ?It had already been decided, I wouldn`t be choosing, and it doesn`t matter?ˆ?. Once the wrecker drivers saw how much dama... view morege had been done, they told me, I shouldn`t have my car towed to the shop I had asked to have it towed to, because they were confident it would be totaled. They explained I would be charged if I had it towed to my repair place whereas, if I allowed them to take it to their storage lot, there would be no charge. This ""auto storage facility"" is actually Vickery Auto Storage 11731 VICKERY ST, Houston, Texas 77039 (also known as Citywide Auto Parts of 4637 Mount Houston Rd, and City Wide Collision Center ). All are owned and operated by Curtis Mounts. The following day my son went to collect items from his vehicle. He was told to sign a form. Later in week, we found out the form actually gave permission for the car to be towed to another location to be repaired. The bill - $1,900. Our insurance will pay this bill but this is fraud. Not the first time it has happened. Company has had 11 complaints based on the BBB. The following is from BBB website: BBB rating is based on 16 factors. Business has failed to resolve underlying cause(s) of a pattern of complaints Also, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations, the company`s certificate is ""under administrative hold"". The rest is up to the insurance company. The insurance company does not seem to be overly concerned by this scam. They told us this is common. Vickery Auto Storage is scamming good, honest, vulnerable (when in a wreck) people in the city I?ˆ™ve lived in for 40 years. Very disappointed that this has happened to us and that it is going to continue happening to others. This ""so-called"" company deserves 0 stars but in order to publish this, I have to rate it at least 1 star.

Stay away from this place. I was not pleased with the workmanship or the personnel. I only gave it one star because that was the least I could give. I did not want to give them any stars.

Very Unprofessional!

They towed our vehicle after the accident and when we asked to release it to the insurance company they became quite rude! We were required to go in an sign a release form and when we told them we didn`t have a way of getting there because our vehicle was there, they said that they wouldn`t be able to release it any way else. They are just trying to make as much money as possible because they aren`t getting the repai... view morer job. Any other company would fax or e-mail the form for us to return. I know this because I called around. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!
