DO NOT BUY !!!! I returned an engine and they sent the same one back, I sent it back again and they said the company closed their doors and I was out 2100.00. The phone number and employees are the same though. Dina is the manager...do not trust in anything she says, you will be sorry. It also goes under the name of AAA Motors & Transmissions in Houston. I bought an engine from this c...

I bought an engine from this company and they tried to overcharge my credit card by $200 and tried to stick a shipping cost to me, when it was supposed to be included in the total charge to my bank. That`s a total of $350. I found out that`s nothing compared to some other people who lost well over $1000 to this fraudulent company. I heard they`re being investigated by the Texas Attorney General and the FBI. I als... view moreo heard FBI is looking for more people and I was contacted. They also told me to spread the word and get people to file a complaint. I have information on how and who to contact and it`s very simple. I found out all of this before I received the engine and was able to cancel my transaction. However, other people weren`t so lucky. I`ve heard horror stories. Also, I am not that lucky because I have to find another engine and wasted a whole week plus the fees that are accrued by my car being at the shop. However, I will be suing AAA for that money. This company is a complete fraud. I strongly warn everyone to stay away. The company takes junk yard items and resells them as "Japanese Imports". The items are complete junk, I purchased a "Japanese Import" engine which failed after only 300 miles. The company continues to make up false claims and will not issue any warranty. Further the company had no legal representatives in other states (which... view more is illegal business practice) and due to their location in Texas it makes it near impossible to follow legal action unless you are willing to fly to Texas and file your complain there. I strongly urge all fellow consumers with sour dealings with this company to issue a Visa/Mastercard charge back against the company, you are not guaranteed to win, but with enough complaints the business will be investigated and hopefully shut down! Never deal with this company.

This co. does not stand by the...

This co. does not stand by their warrenty!!! After a haggle about being the wrong engine, ordered a 2.2l for 96 S10, recieved 97 out of a cavalier. Then found the motor froze up. They said Oh can`t be because we turn the motor over 24 times for leak down test. Does not change the fact the motor was and is defective. So apperantly they lied about testing the engine. Have delt with a lot of co. in the past, but this one is the worst by far. I have set income, and it took some of my savings to buy this engine, and its going to be hard to make it up. No need to be afraid of used engines!

I was nervous about buying a used motor for my Subaru Impreza, but after looking into the site a bit and after reading through their money back guarantee, I decided to give it a shot. Couldn`t be happier! Saved a ton of money by just replacing the engine rather than the whole car, and the engine is in excellent shape! Very Unethical. Bought a trans...

Very Unethical. Bought a transmission, was promised free shipping, but they billed me for it anyway, then would not refund it. Then the transmission was bad. Had to pay to send it back. They said nothing was wrong with it and that the ASE certified mechanic that put it in did it wrong. When I questioned them it turns out they did not even test the unit to verify my complaint. I wouldn`t give them 1 star but thats what I had to do to go forth w/review. These people will lie to you and then swear to it. The engine I bought was to have had 30 to 60k miles, but appeared to have more like 130-160k. Then when I called dina hoover to ask why the motor was out of time on the belt, she lied about that. Stay away from AAA Japanese Imports. They lied to me about the mileage on the car. They told me the engine had 31,000 miles on it, far from the truth, when I got the engine, they had a tag on it saying to replace rear main seal, valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket. Odd request for an engine that supposedly only has 31,000 miles. Well I did what they asked, GASP, the camshaft was riddled with carbon deposits the lo... view morebes were worn down, the rear main seal was replaced at one time because it had RTV smeared all over the front (which never comes from the factory) so, basically they lied. From the looks and wear on this engine I would give it somewhere between 150K to 200K miles, I bought this engine soley on trust on my part (Foolish) I`ll never be taken like this again. Don`t trust these people.
