I was a little hesitant since I tend to go off feedback and the last rating I saw on here was from 2010 but the service was EXCELLENT on my Volvo C70 hardtop headliner. They were very quick and professional. Their quote was very reasonable and they came in under their quote. Rebecca is VERY knowledgable.... and approachable for women that must take care of the car stuff. I highly recommend Texas Auto Tops!!!!

Excellent service!

My 06 VW Jetta needed a new headliner. Because it has a sunroof, no one else in town would do the job. They matched the material perfectly, even special ordered it for a perfect match! Job was done on time and for less than their original estimate. AND they were all very nice people. They have a very organized and efficient operation.

Great Service and Reasonable Price on Sunroof

The sunroof on my 04 Cheverolet Tahoe was having issues closing completely. After putting a towel over the issue at night to keep moisture out, action needed to be taken quickly. The next morning, I called in and was told I could bring it in at my convenience that day. Upon arriving, I was greeted by an extremely freindly technician, David. He was also the one I spoke with that morning, very freindly and courte... view moreous. I explained the problem as best I could. Without any wait he began work on the vehicle. I got a crash course in sunroof education while he disassembled and diagnosed the problem. After the problem was found, he rigged the sunroof to stay closed until I could return for the full repair with the needed parts. This was all done for an extremely reasonable 75 dollars. I am thouroughly impressed with the service at Texas Auto Tops and David especially.

Friendly and excellent service.

I have an aftermarket sunroof on my `07 Chevy SUV that Texas Auto Tops of Austin originally installed for the dealer. While 350 miles away from home, the roof failed to close and the weather forecast was gloom and doom, predicted for the next 3 or 4 days of good old Texas rain. I bought the truck second hand and didn`t have the paperwork for the roof install but was told by the previous owner that Texas Auto Tops... view more performed the work. I called on Monday morning early and was told to bring it in when convenient. I failed to ask how long it would take and fully expected to have to call a friend for a ride home. They immediately pulled my truck in for service, put a qualified tech (Henry) on the job and with friendly and polite demeanor, returned my keys an hour later with a, ""Thank you and no charge."" They had to trace the problem to a faulty ""ribbon wire"" and replaced it. Becca even dug up a new warranty and owners manual including their contact information. Its rare to find such responsive, friendly and professional folks to deal with these days. Thanks Becca and Henry and Texas Auto Tops!

Bad Business, passive aggressive sales tactics.

I had a moon roof and the motor went out after 7 years of use. I tried to just order the part threw my mechanic. Texas Auto Tops never returned the phone call. So after three days of no response since the initial call, I called them again to just see if I could take my car in to close the moon roof ( it was fully opened) on Friday. They said I would have to wait until Tuesday. When I told them that the open moon ro... view moreof would put my car in risk of being broken into (also, it had been raining all week) they finally said I could come in and they would close it for me. They did not at any point inform me that there would be a charge. I arrived at 9 am, after waiting several hours I told the desk person that I have to go to work at least by 1 pm. She went out several times and tells me they will get to it soon. In the meantime I look in the garage and I see that they have already closed the roof by 11 am. I waited 2 more hours after they had closed the moon roof. Then the mechanic comes out to convince me to buy the new motor after I explicitly asked them to simply close my moon roof. They charged me 100$ to do what took about 5 minutes to take out (my regular mechanic did the same operation to test the motor and charged me nothing). It gets even worse. Then the mechanic, who was working on it, gets rude and says that it would be better if I just replace the motor now because he would have to charge me again to take the new motor out that he used to close the roof, another 100 bucks. At this point I tell them that I need to leave for work and they make me wait another hour while the mechanic huffs and puffs about the new motor. I finally use my credit card to just pay for the motor to the tune of about $ 275.00 plus the ""labor"" which was about $100 for 10 minutes of work and hours of passive aggressive sales tactics. This was the worst $400 experience I have ever had! Please save your self the discomfort of doing business with these rude people!!!
