Dishonest dealer read to save your money

I know this is long but wanted you to know the whole story. Went to there number 2 location and found a 1999 Ford Mustang price on window said $2899 thought ok needs some work no problem. Well went in to the office there was 1 woman working talking on the phone with someone holding her check book and teen aged looking kid probably 16,17 years old. Walked into the office and stood thee for a minute the lady then sn... view moreapped her fingers at the boy and he said "Yeah what do you need" I asked "Whats the story about the silver mustang out there" He said "I don`t know hang on" he then started typing on the computer then said "oh yeah its $3998" I looked at him and stated what was on the window and he said "oh yeah thats right. Well by this time the lady finished on the phone and asked me what i needed to know. I told her that i wanted more info on the mustang she then directed the kid to get the keys and handed them to me and said "go check it out". I went out started the car and noticed it had an exhaust leak on the block. Figured ok maybe they will come down on the price for this not being able to pass inspection as it sits. Then proceeded to test drive the car. Noticed right off the car did not feel right on the front end of the car.Got back to the office with the car and asked the lady "Has this car been wrecked" she said emphatically "absolutely not that car is clean no title problems never been wrecked" I believed her, but asked for a car fax and she said their internet was down at the time. So they were not able to run the report.talked down the price to $2650 out the door she said all it may need is the exhaust leak fixed and a tie rod replaced no problems,Paid for the car decided to tow the car home to be safe. This was on a Saturday so the car sat till Monday morning took it to my local repair shop Donnybrook Automotive and asked them to check it out called me about 2 hours later and gave me the bad news. "this car is totaled sub frame was twisted main frame was torqued, and right front wheel was 3" off center,and the car was hit so hard it crushed and broke the heater coil in half. Turns out that the passenger side door and whole front clip were replaced and painted to match the car. Just to make the car look good.Was furious called J.W. Auto sales and demanded them refund my money for selling me this junk of a car. All they had to say about this all was "Well if you didn`t want the car why did you buy it we gave you a good car" Told them they would receive the car the following day and to refund my money. Proceeded to tell me that they would go ahead and refund me this time but it was not their fault that i didn`t like the car. So all in all $600 for 2 tows from their lot to my house then to their lot again plus a $20 tip to the tow driver for picking up our check and giving it to us. And no car. They are dishonest and should be investigated for selling these totaled cars as clean cars
