Used and screwed

I can`t speak for the new vehicle department. We bought a used vehicle through the pre owned department. Salesmen and customer service were nice enough. We felt we got a good deal on our vehicle. Drove up from Ft hood to get it. We bought the vehicle as is and I understand all that entails. Though we were assured that the vehicle is passed their rigorous something point inspection so we can "drive with confidenc... view moree with worry-free pre-owned vehicles." I bought the car knowing their were some cosmetic flaws and the door handle was busted. That was fine. I can expect that from a pre owned vehicle but when I`m assured it has passed the inspection and I can drive with confidence I expect to do so! Less than a month of having the vehicle we start having issues with the transmission. I checked the fluid it was low. No worries, filled it up and was fine for a few days. Started having issues again as well as was having issues with the front right wheel clicking and locking. Took it in to a mechanic and told that a gasket, pan and plug were broken on a transmission that someone tried to cover up with silicone. Also the front right wheel bearing was completely shot. As is my "driving with confidence." On top of all this we still have not received our plates for the vehicle and our temp tags expire next week. We have called multiple times over the past few weeks. Sent to different people and left messages. Told multiple times they would call is back and let us know. We still know nothing. We called the manager today who sent us to the salesman who said he would again look into the plates issue and call us back. As far as the mechanical issues we were told there was nothing they could do because the vehicle was sold as is. Which I said I understand that but also though I could buy a worry free vehicle and drive with confidence as they assured me. I was told that I was fortunate to buy the vehicle at the good price I did and then fed some lines about how they have all these for advertising and processing and inspecting etc and that I was lucky. Not sure what all their advertising fees has to do with me getting ripped off but apparently I`m the lucky one in this whole situation. So long story short we still don`t have our plates or any information on where they are and we are left with the worry of a vehicle that may or may not have a shot transmission.
