I have three complaint about t...
I have three complaints about this dealer on the same sale transaction (2014 Mazda 6).
1) Sales consultant (David Alvarez) and I agreed on a price for the vehicle. I committed to buy it via Mazda financing. When signing the paperwork the initial document I saw was with the correct purchase price. I quickly scanned through the financing document and I didn`t bother to use calculator to add amounts since sales (Dav... view moreid) and financial consultant (Andre Trevino) seemed trustworthy. Assumed that the price is the same on all the other documents. After I got back home and realized that they added $300 on top of agreed price plus $147 optional documentation fee. I called them multiple times and left messages. They didn`t bother to call me back. Seems like this hoax is a common practice after reading other similar reviews for this dealership. They first give you an impression that they are trustworthy then fool you by taking advantage of your trust. Be aware and be VERY VERY careful reviewing and singing ANY document with them. This can`t be just an honest mistake.
2) The vehicle I purchase was a brand new vehicle and was on the sales floor as a demo vehicle. I test drove a similar vehicle in their inventory so that they get the floor vehicle out. I didn`t test drive the vehicle I`m purchasing assuming that it was checked and in prefect working condition. I drove out the vehicle and realized that the A/C wasn`t working. I returned the vehicle the same day and vehicle needed to stay in service dept for 2 days.
3) Dealer didn`t attach buyers temporary tag to avoid additional cost. They left temporary "Dealer" tag. I was told by a police office that carrying a dealer tag w/o being a dealer is subject to fine. Dealer didn`t tell me about this. I already submitted a review to mazdausa.com and Texas Department of Motor Vehicles.

They only care about a sale and NOT customer service!
They make you feel all warm and fuzzy when you buy a new car, and then they don`t take care of you or your car. Very disappointed. Have had much better experiences at other dealerships.

Rude and Unprofessional
I just called them and they were absolutely rude to me.
I got a deal on a certified pre-owned Mazda3 i from another dealer. Then, I saw an ad in the mail from Mazda of Clear Lake which was about a month old on my table. I decided maybe I should call Clear Lake up. The new Mazda3 s deal that they were offering was similar to the cost of the used Mazda3 i. Even though it was a downgrade, a new car would be better th... view morean a used one.
I called and mentioned the ad. I figured the starting price was for the standard and went up from there. He was like that doesn`t exist and told me in a really rude tone, ""Are you sure it was Clear Lake because we don`t have that."" Yes, I am sure. I was looking at the ad. Then, he later told me in a condescending way what the prices of the other models were. Oh yeah, and he transfered me to the manager. They all acted like I was wasting their time.
Thanks for saving me the trip down there. I will take my business somewhere else.

Avoid this place or ask beforehand for defects before buying
I was in the market for a Camry and saw an ad this dealer published on Autotrader. The car looked ok, but upon closer examination, we were able to find a couple of defects. They agreed to fix it for $300. We were ok with that, however they failed to disclose that the car only had one key and that they we not going to provide a spare. For me, that is a safety concern. That`s another $200. Additionally, the inside of t... view morehe car was dirty and so was the outside. They told us that they would do it if we waited like an hour. If they knew we were coming to pick it up, why not just have it ready? Like the other reviewer stated, ""once you sign, they stop caring"". We are planning on buying another car in the near future; we are not going back to this place. People that don`t disclose all pertaining information about a sales are LIARS. I do not tolerate LIARS.

Outstanding help
I went in there on a Sat. hoping to beat the rush and they literally had me in and out in 45mins. I had talked to them via email (Bobby Simmons) and he had me all set up. There were no problems with the payments we set up and they did not change when I arrived.
Great service and an easy transaction.

Great!
My family just recently purchased a car from Clear Lake Mazda to replace a family car that was in a wreck. The staff was very friendly and their attention to detail was better than we could ask for. The car was ready and waiting when we got there to pick it up, and we could not be happier with our purchase!

Professionalism!
I recently went to Clear lake mazda to have my vehicle serviced. The attention to detail by every staff member was top notch. I was extremely pleased with the work and will have the comfort knowing that my car was treated by technicians that are at the top of their game.

No Hassel
I went in to Mazda to look at their new CX-9 series because I had driven a friend`s vehilce and liked it a lot. I stopped there on a Saturday morning thinking that it would be an all day affair and was ready for the haggeling that normally accompanies buying a new vehicle. Much to my suprise, they accually sold me the vehilce for less than what I was ready to pay. To make things even better, I gave them my informatio... view moren and told them that I would be next door at the resturant waiting on them. I no more sat down and Bobby (sales mgr.) called me to let me know everything was ready. By the time I returned, Bart (fin. mgr.) greeted me and was ready to go. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes with my new vehicle waiting on me. I have purchased several vehicles in my life and must say that this was the easiest no hassle dealership I have ever been to. You have gained my business for life. Thx.
