Caution...find another mechanic. I went here for a tune up and new brakes. They broke my rotors on the brake job and then sent me home with the brakes not working properly (they broke the speed sensor). Brakes were grinding loudly so I`m not sure how they didn`t notice. When I took it back they told me it wasn`t safe to drive. A couple months later by spark plug and ignition coil blew out from a faulty installati... view moreon during the tune up. My car broke when I was 45 minutes away from the My Mechanic so I took it to another dealership. Once I found out that it was a result of improperly installing the spark plugs I called Eddie at My Mechanic and had him talk to the other repair shop. He agreed for me to have the work done their and said he would reimburse me. I brought him the spark plug showing him evidence it was installed incorrectly. He agreed and processed the paperwork with their Corporate office. I kept getting the run around and finally Eddie said he did all he could and that the Corporate office would not approve it. The repair that the other repair shop did was a quick fix (rethread the cylinder head spark plug) and Eddie was aware that this fix may not hold. Since it was a lot cheaper than pulling the cylinder head he agreed to do it. Turns out this didn`t work so I brought it back to my mechanic. The one good thing I can say is that they did repair the work which was a 10 hour job to pull the cylinder head. The bad thing is that rather than get a new cylinder head they sent it to a repair shop. My car broke again and once again Eddie repaired the work under warranty. I took my car in for a tune up to try to avoid having any problems in the future. Instead my car broke down several times and I was out of work for 4 days, and had to pay almost $400 for another repair shop to fix the work My Mechanic did wrong. . I had no confidence that the car wouldn`t keep breaking so I ended up buying a new one.

WASTE OF TIME

Waste of time?ˆ¦ got my front brakes changed back in December?ˆ¦ and after service I wasn?ˆ™t happy with the service at first it took 5 hours to get it done when I was the only car in shop. I called and setup an appointment too and they told me they had my brake pad and everything in stock. So I don?ˆ™t know why it took soo long. Drove off and my brakes where squealing the guy said that it would do that for a month just unti... view morel my brakes are broken in. Come January my brakes still squeal so I called and they said that it would do that for a few months until they are broken in. I drive 60 mile one way every day on 290 and 45 freeway traffic so I think my brake are broken in. So I give it another month February I call again cuz my brakes still squeal. The person I talked to said it they are closed already if I can call the next day. Well I travel a lot and have not had the time to call until now, MARCH! And my brakes are still squealing. I took it in to brake check and had them change my rear brakes (at a way cheaper price and they quoted me a cheaper price for my brakes in the front. Why didn?ˆ™t I go there in the first place URGH! Well I had a coupon, which my mechanic couldn?ˆ™t honor). I had brake check look at my front brake and they told me the reason my brakes are squealing was because my brake were not replace correctly (mymechanic did not lube parts). I am hoping that brake check isn?ˆ™t right cuz I just hope it?ˆ™s a sales tactic but from the way my brakes are still squealing I think they maybe. So I call mymechanic and they said that I would have to bring in the car so they can inspect it. Me thinking of the 5 hours wasted the first time I am dreading going again cuz it will just waste another 5 hours of my time. So I asked over the phone if it is your problem (installation problem not part mechanical) I would like a refund. They manager said oh no we do not give refunds maybe a store credit for oil change but not a full refund. I further explain that this is a waste of my time and if it was done the first time correctly then you would not be having to deal with me again on the same issue. So end result?ˆ¦ nothing! I am going to take it back in to a different mymechanic and have they tell me if it is a install problem or parts failure problem. If it is part failure then I will have the replace the parts, but judging by what brake check and fire stone have told me they are saying install problem. So I have a call into the customer service Eli Perez and well talk to him about the issue and of refunding my money!
WATCH OUT I wish I read these comment before taking my car in there. They are nice over the phone but when you are in there you will be back into a corner and they will treat you like crap and your time in not valuable to them.
Just talked to Eli, he is seriously rude ?ˆ“ will interrupt you and he doesn?ˆ™t care about the service preformed by his shops. He states that is why they are warranties. We will bring you car up to standards with the manufacture requirements. But we do not refund money for your time that you think is wasted. I think it is wasted cuz again I wasted 5 hr as a shop repairing brakes that should have been fixed the first time. Check out the BBB.gov rating it is an F. there is a reason why this company is an F rating and no one should go to MYMECHANIC. Do you research and I so sad to state I didn?ˆ™t. Mymechanic is just like timeshares and CONNS ?ˆ“ a big con for your money and time wasted.

Terrible and rude

Called in to get a price on a simple item but the guy wouldnt even give me an idea on the price wants me to bring it in.............NO way after reading these previous consumer reports

My Mechanic 7640 Highway 6 North

Website, phone message, overall presentation very good.Car would not start, towed in for diagnostics.Intial qoute $670.00 but another problem 300 to 400 dollars.Worked for a test drive but stalled again you guessed it another 300 dollars. Think this is it? nope another 600 all said and done the ticket was 2300. They wanted to help me out and printed me a coupon and took off 20 here and there to now 2100. Complained o... view moref all the addional problems once they had the vehicle and they took off an addional 300. All said and done almost 1800.Took it in with a full tank of gas got charged 40.00 for 2 to 3 gallons.The trucks computer which identified some of the issues was replaced at the end for not working properly. Lesson learned.

Everytime I bring my car here, I leave BROKE!!! They tell me about ALL the work that needs done plus they overcharge for each part, and especially the Labor. Be careful here. I don`t trust what they say.
Yeah, they seem nice until you complain about something. They are a good con artist. Oh, one more thing. When you present a coupon, they don`t want to honor it.

Complete Incompetence

I do not know a lot about cars, but I think a tire should have all the lug nuts put back on the wheel, not just one. If you have more money than you know what do with it, this is the mechanic shop for you. Do not expect quality service or any form of accountability, but they will allow you waste your money even if there is no real problems. My favorite thing about this shop is that it is possible to leave there with ... view moremore issues that you came in with. One should also know they ?won?t? refund any of your money. I do not know if this is their store policy or just another display of their wonderful integrity.
However, it?s not all bad; they are polite on the phone before they rip you off. Also, unlike other shops, they do not waste time by making sure the job was done correct or even complete. SO, for quick, expensive, and unsafe service I recommend this shop or maybe a monkey.
