A mechanic I would trust

I went to Cy`s after reading reviews over at Car Talk.
Cy replaced my rear brakes for a very reasonable price. He was very straightforward with everything and told me exactly what to expect. He called me with the exact amount before completing the job. The brake pads he bought came with a lifetime warranty and he directly passed that on to me unlike most other places I know.

Every other place I went to, th... view moreey started off by telling me a brake job could go realllly bad and as high as 2000 dollars.

I would go back to Cy. After all, it is really tough to find a good mechanic.

I felt I was ripped off

My 1992 honda needed CV joints redone on the front axle. There were no other issues with the vehicle and it was driving fine. I drove it there. While it was there, I was told after it had been there a week, that now it wouldn`t start and the ignition was bad. I was also told the timing chain broke and had to be replaced. I was amazed at how it was my problem that a car I drove in there needing cv joints done, now nee... view moreded extensive repair. To make a loooong story short, I ended up shelling out over 1200 dollars to get my car back because it mysteriously developed serious issues while in the shop..
