THIEVES!!! After an uninsured...
A NIGHTMARE!!! After an uninsured motorist totaled my mother`s car, she bought a used car from them. She explained to them that since my father had cancer and was dealing with the aftermath of strokes, he was unable to work and she was yet to find a job. She was in need of a reliable car that would not need immediate work. She was assured that the car had been through a 110 point inspection. Within the first 2 d... view moreays the engine light came on and it hesitated switching gears. She took it back at the first sign of trouble. She was told the gas cap wasn`t on correctly. She took it back again in the same week with the same issue and she was told they hooked it up to their computers and it checked out fine. Took it back another time within the first week or so and then was told since it wasn`t a Ford they didn`t have the right kind of computer to hook it up to in order to diagnose the issue! She took it to a dealership who sold the same make of car she purchased from them. They hooked it up to their computers. Their conclusion was that it needed a new transmission. By the VIN # they also discovered that they had that same vehicle at one time - BUT THEY DEEMED IT UNSELLABLE AND GOT RID OF IT!!! During that time she took it to 3 other mechanics - ALL WHO SAID THE CAR SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN SOLD! All said it needed a new transmission and that the transmission fluid had not been replaced. She was quoted $4-$5K in repairs. She went back to them with the information from the mechanics. She thought that certainly with the information she came to them with that they would do the right thing. Though she presented the information in a calm and pleading manner, she was met with hostility and scoffing! NEVER had she EVER been treated in such a belligerent manner! She went all the way up to the General Manager who ALSO treated her with contempt. She offered him the information from the other mechanics and he pushed it away and said he wasn`t a mechanic - he was a numbers-man. He was incredibly disrespectful and told her to blame my brother who was with her when she bought the car. When she mentioned that she took it to the aforementioned dealership, he admitted GP Ford bought it from them! When my mother said they told her they deemed it UNSELLABLE, no excuse was made. They had only offered to trade it for an even older vehicle with body damage that a mechanic friend said was not a good vehicle. After going to the company that owned GP Ford, they were forced to offer something else. She did NOT trust them to trade her a reliable car. They would not allow her to take the car off the lot to have a mechanic check it out, so she paid a mechanic to come with her to check it out - money she really didn`t have to spend. She finally traded it for a car she did not want or would fit her needs, but she just wanted to be done with them. The whole experience was the worst nightmare she could have imagined! I`m not usually one to post such things, but I really want to try to protect others from going through the same thing. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!

My husband purchased a F250 from this dealer less then two months ago (not a cheap vehicle). Just days after taking it home we noticed a leak. We called the dealer and we were told that it was overflow and that this was normal. As a precaution, we were told to keep an eye on it and if it worsened to bring it in after we received our warranty information in the mail. The leak did get worse, we waited for the warranty ... view moreinformation and brought the truck in. The leak turned out to be a radiator leak..not overflow and not covered by warranty. The dealership refused to fix the issue as they stated it wasn`t their problem and we had waited past the 30 days of original purchase (hope you saw my note above that they are the ones that told us to wait) and then charged us over $1000.00 to fix it. My husband was out on the street today with a sign telling others to beware!!!!!

Editorial review from Citysearch
Grand prairie Ford Sucks! Keith Sheldon, their general Manager, and Ron Smith, a slimy sales rep are gutless, lying-scumbags. I sent a friend of 20 years as a warm lead to this poor excuse for a car lot, and they ripped her head off. Both Keith Sheldon and Ron Smith were both two gutless to return an email or phone call. And, apparently they are too gutless to respond to the BBB. Grand Prairie Ford has... view more an F- rating with the BBB buyer beware!!!!!

My service writer was fantastic. Good company employee and also looked out for his customer being handled properly. He went the second mile taking care of his (your) customers. I`ve recommended him and GPF to friends and they have come to see you. They were as well pleased as we. Give David a pat on the back and a day off for doing an outstanding job serving the customer of GPF. Right now, you team is doing a very go... view moreod job!

Thanks Greg!
Greg was extra special to me. He went the extra mile for me. I had shoulder surgery recently and he made sure the inside of my vehicle was vacuumed out and clean. I really appreciate the extra effort. Thanks Greg!
