Misleading Price Quote

As i was working out of state , my son`s truck ac was not blowing . So i told my wife to take it to get a couple of estimates for repair , i told her it was either a bad fuse and or bad blower . She took it first to Expert Tire Service , they told her it was the blower , and to replace it would cost +/-$300.00 for parts and labor . The next estimate she took it to Alice Auto Mechanic Shop , they told her the cost wou... view moreld be +/-$150.00 , we were happy with that estimate . So i told her to go ahead and have it repaired there thinking we were getting a good deal WRONG... By the time they were done with the job the price went from $150.00 to $457.00 I was like what the hell is going on , but we needed the truck fixed so i told her to pay to get it fixed . Some how there great technicians did not do a proper diagnostic test , and for there mistake the customer ends up paying . Once the truck was ready , my wife said that the blower was blowing like if it was on low and making a wierd noise . I told her not to take back because we would end paying another $500.00 or more for there f*ck up . Going against my word she took it back and a couple of days later they finally fixed it right . What should of taken a couple of days took +/- week . I`m sure these people do a good job if you are a friend or family member , cause i have herd some good reports on them , but if you are a stranger to them i would highly suggest that you take it to a dealership , i know that`s what i`m going to do from now on . DO SAY NOBODY WARNED YOU
