Blatantly Dishonest

Back in May, the A/C died in my Ford Expedition. Given that I have neither the knowledge or equipment to perform a proper A/C service, I took my car to the Auto Care America on Memorial Drive to have the A/C issues diagnosed. This diagnosis cost $86 for the cost of the Freon. After they apparently inspected the A/C system, I was told that the A/C compressor had locked up. To add to that they told me that the bear... view moreings in my water pump were going bad and vibrating. The Technician Comments/Recommendations were exactly as follows: ""A/C Compressor stop Burning Make Noises"" ""Orifice Tube stop"" ""Drier"" ""Water Pump vibration Bearing its Going"" ""Serpentine Belt Crack"" They wanted a total of $1750 to replace the A/C compressor, dryer, expansion valve, and Freon. They then wanted another $550 to replace the water pump and serpentine belt. After refusing their recommended service I then took the car back home and tore into the car to find that the A/C compressor spun perfectly fine and was definitely not burning, the water pump worked perfectly fine (I actually took the pump out and inspected it by hand), and there was no crack in the serpentine belt. I then took the car to another auto repair shop where they found a leaking A/C hose assembly. The A/C compressor and everything else worked perfectly fine and they got my A/C working for only $665. To sum it all up, they deliberately lie about what repairs need to be performed in order to convince the costumer to agree to more expensive and unnecessary repairs.

he caused my car to die,put my life in danger,&ripped me off

They steal from their customers. James gains your trust and makes you think he is bending over backwards,then he robs you blind. They owe me several thousand dollars. they didnt fix the ignition coils,which caused my car to die in a busy street.I could have died or could be disabled because of it. I had already paid them to fix my car.Because they didnt fix it,I had to bring my car in on a flat bed.James lied to the ... view moreBBB and told them he towed me in.They charged me several thousand dollars for a computer and sensers that I didnt need and never fixed the coils. Another mechanic that I didnt know previously,said I should take them to court and put a lein on his property and credit. More than one other mechanic told me he caused my car to die by not fixing the coils and that he fixed what didnt need to be fixed. Im not even sure he did the ""work""he charged me for,that didnt need to be done. James has 50+ yrs is the business,he knew what he was doing

james is not the owner nor does any of the work. the owner is iranian and treats his employes like his custumers by ripping them off. i will never trade there again.
