Reviews:
Outstanding work, honest price and service
I normally handle most of my own work, but I was having a horrid time getting the rear drums off a Subaru Forester in 2009, so after realizing I had not found any good shops in Vancouver yet (Brake Team = Garbage, Ron`s Automotive = Unqualified, Gemini = Dishonest), I decided to call Brake Shop on the phone. He sounded like he knew what he was talking about, and sounded honest (I can hear the nonsense as soon as any ... view moremechanic starts), so I gave him a try. He quoted me a very fair price over the phone considering I couldn`t get the drums off no matter what I tried.
He had the work done perfectly, rather quickly, and was very professional.
Would recommend to anyone, although I am basing this off one experience.

Outstanding work, very fair price, and professional to boot!
I`ve used Steve twice now.
First time, I was having an impossible time removing rear drums off a Subaru Forester (rusted on), so I called around trying to find someone who sounded professional and honest (stay away from Ron`s, Brake Team, and especially Gemini), the person on the phone quoted me a price after listening to what I told him about my brakes. I made an appointment because he sounded professional and ho... view morenest.
I took the work in, was done rather quickly for exactly how much he quoted me, and I was on my way. He was very nice and professional in person too. Appears to be a one-man shop, not entirely sure though.
Second time, I took in a Mazda Protege with a shimmy that I had been dealing with for quite a while (Ron`s totally misdiagnosed it), after figuring out the problem, I took it to Steve and had him do some specific work on it. He did exactly what I asked, didn`t try to sell me on anything else, and did an outstanding job (he pulled a CV axle and replaced it inside of 30 minutes).
What`s more, he provided great customer service. He offered to come in on an off day to do the work; and, get this, he even lists his cell number on his signage and on his answering machine.... Seriously, who does that anymore?!
I will absolutely be taking my business to Steve on issues that I can`t do myself.
