Not That Great
They have a good reputation, but my experience was not good.
They told me my furnace was failing because my 1 year-old batteries were bad (although they never charged or load-tested them), and they quoted me a price to replace the two I had, plus they said I had to add two more because the furnace required 4. The price they quoted was good, so I took them up on it, but halfway through they said they quoted me th... view moree wrong price and the batteries were actually about $150 more than what they quoted. They should have given me the price they quoted, or at least met me halfway, but in the end, all I got was $20 off two batteries.
After the expensive repair (because they also charged for trouble-shooting, and for altering the battery shelf to fit their batteries), the furnace still didn`t work. When I talked to the tech, he blamed me, saying it was because I hadn`t charged the new batteries enough. This was BS. He wouldn`t budge, and in the end I had to track down my batteries at Interstate where Quality had returned them as bad. Interstate fully charged them and load tested them and they were fine. When I tried to get my money back from Quality, it was the tech who met me at the door, still trying to intimidate me, and not until I threatened to take them to court and turned around to leave did the owner come in and set things right. He refunded my money for the batteries and reinstalled my old ones.
They never did repair the furnace. Several months later at another shop, I had the furnace replaced for as much as they charged me for the useless work they did on it. Also, about a year and a half later, those two batteries they said were bad are still going strong and running the new furnace flawlessly.
I think the owners are decent people who put too much faith in a tech who is not as good as he thinks, and not as honest as they think. I also think they let the almighty dollar influence their perception of what is right. If they had a better, more honest tech, they might not be bad. I wouldn`t say not to use them, but I would recommend caution. Don`t be too trusting (but that goes for all RV repair shops).
