We have now made two purchases at Gage
We have now made two purchases at Gage Auto Sales. We bought my husband`s 2006 Silverado extended cab truck a year ago last August. The salesman, Trey, was so wonderful. We also worked with Jim, on the financing portion for our truck. Both of these representatives of Gage Auto Sales were wonderful. They made the experience a joyful one. We have purchased many cars in our 60+ years, but never have we had such a ... view morewonderful experience. We love the truck and my husband even today can`t believe it`s his. My husband said that if we ever bought another vehicle, he would only go to Gage Auto Sales.

I ran into Trey at Les Schwab on 12/19/11, and he remembered me and the truck ( I was driving my husband`s truck at the time because my Tahoe was in the shop). He is great representative of your company. He said if I ever needed another vehicle to let him know, and he took down my phone number. I said, well, do you have a Traverse for sale. He said yes. I got excited and went home and told my husband, and when Trey talked to me and told me the red tag special price, we went right down to see this beautiful crossover. I drove it, and my husband really likes it and we went right ahead and purchased it. We again had a wonderful buying experience with both Trey and Jim. And my husband is very happy because he gets his truck back. I always tell everyone how we went to Gage Auto Sales and what a wonderful experience we had. We even took our then 2-year old Rottweiler, Lucy in with us. We came away with an awesome happy feeling, which I have never had when purchasing a car before.

And now we have had two awesome experiences buying cars at Gage Auto Sales. Everyone, even the sales people that you aren`t working with are very nice, greeting and making you feel at home, offering water, and whatever else they can do to make your visit a good experience.

We want to thank Trey and Jim for being so kind to us and giving us such wonderful help. We will never hesitate to recommend you to anyone we know who wants to buy a car. You guys are the best. I just love my Traverse, and Larry is so glad to get his truck back.

Larry and Moe Dahlgren.

Great place
Great place, I got just what I wanted, the salesmen are trying to make a sale but I didn`t want to choke them out like the dirt bags down the road. All I have to say is don`t go to the Mazda place at the old Thomason lot.

Sales Person Had Very Trapping Antics. High Pressure!!!
My spouse and I were looking for another vehicle to save gas money for a job that requires a lot of driving. So we naturally decided to see what option would financially benefit us the best (the prius). We recently lost all of the money that we had due to trying to revive a successful business we were running and had no money for a down payment. We found a car that we liked advertised online from Gage Auto Sales. To ... view moreavoid wasting any time I called and explained every detail of our financial situation including credit scores, work history, when we will be able to pay, What we can pay, and everything they needed to know to determine financing. I said that I wanted to be upfront right now, and not drive 90 minutes to find different results. The salesman assured me after listening to everything that financing wouldn`t be an issue, and that they had the best financing company. My spouse and I drove down to Gage Auto Sales. When we arrived, before we even got out of the car we had a grungy guy that looked like he was homeless approach us asking about our car. He was a car salesman and already making us feel pressured, I told him that we were looking specifically for another dealer (name I will leave anonymous). We were directed to John Doe, and he took us to check out the car that we called about. Everything looked okay, he told us they have great cleaners and the car should be amazing, I pulled open a cubby and found cigarette butts, receipts and some other misc, garbage laying in the drawer. There was also a hole from a cigarette that wasn`t mentioned. We were okay with that, people make mistakes when cleaning a car, and burn mark wasn`t going to stop us from buying the car, even being non-smokers with a baby on the way. We went inside to fill out all of the paper work to start the credit report before we even drove the car. I was okay with this because we knew we wanted the car and they assured us they can handle our unique situation. We filled out the paper work and as they were processing the financial paper work we went for a very short test drive. The car seemed to be in working order. We go back inside to be told that they were wrong, and couldn`t help us, and that we would pay half down ($6,000). I have taken out plenty of loans before, and this is by far the furthest anyone has been off on estimating if they could accept a car loan. They told us again that they have the best financing banks and that we were not going to be able to find better even if we had more for a down payment. Immediately after they tried escorting us to a car that was within the financing they could provide. It was a complete bait and trap, get us in, check our credit, and swap us to a different car that was only worth $2,500. Earlier that day we were approved for a car with zero down and the car was worth more, we turned it down because we figured we could save $4,000 by choosing this one. I was completely wrong to trust Gage Auto Sales. I`m going to stick with the Toyota Dealership off Murray and Canyon in Beaverton. The entire time I was at Gage Auto I felt everything they were doing was shady. The things I do to try and save some money. I should have just stuck with Toyota.

Huge inventory, great service!!
Went there with a buddy that wanted me to check out a Truck he was interested in. Not only did he get one, but I ended up with one also.

We looked online at this companies web site, did some home work, was surprised to find a link to get a free car fax on any vehcile they offered, what a time saver!! After checking out a couple of trucks and the Carfax`s we went to Kelly blue books web site and we were surpr... view moreised to find out that the internet prices were very reasonable.

I put on some old clothes, grabbed my creeper,. and we hopped in my truck and went down there to check out some trucks.

My friend choose a late model ford F-150, the salesman Tim explained how they over look all the vehciles they sell before they reach the lot. I pulled all the dip sticks and saw fresh fluid every where, took out my anti freeze tester, and saw that the coolant was new and good to -25 degrees, impressive to say the least. I asked the salesman if my buddy purchased the truck could I have a couple of hours to get it checked out at my shop, sure enough he said yes, ( the compression was perfect!!).

I saw a dodge truck with a Cummins in it while my buddy was buying his Ford, I was so impressed with Tim and the rest of the team there at Gage Auto Sales, I went back the next day and got it for myself. What a great experience!!

They have over 50 trucks in stock, lots of SUVs also, my wife is due a new SUV before winter hits, I will be back to pruchase that one from Gage Auto Sales.

Take it from me, I know cars inside and out, these guys know there stuff, you can shop this store online on in person and find nothing but great vehicles and excellent service.

I see people all the time at my work that drive old cars, I will be spreading the good word about Gage Auto Sales, they also informed me that everybody I send that buys a car, I can expect a reward. Looks like I also found another source of income!!!

Great place to shop, better place to buy!!
Just purchased myself a Mustang GT today from Gage Auto Sales, and I love it!! I saw the add on the web and called the dealership to inquire about the car, the salesman I spoke to Chuck was very helpful. When I told him that I wanted a red Mustang GT I saw online, he responded with which one?! They had five Mustang GT`s in stock!! I did not know they had so much inventory, so I went to their web site and there they w... view moreere, they were having a big forth of July sale, and all the Mustangs were on ad. I left my home immediately and went to the dealership. Chuck let me drive all of them, after I choose one he had me in and out of there in less then 45 minutes, I was very impressed! He got me a CarFax when I asked for one, there were no games, I tried to pay less then the ad price, but I knew the ad price was fair as I have been shopping for about a week. The only thing that I can gripe about was the fact that they did not offer me a discount when I asked for one. That is a first for me, but the car I purchased was perfect, the dealership was clean, the salesman did not try to up sell me on try any ""car salesman"" tricks to confuse me. They even got me a loan at my credit union without me going into the office, AMAZING!!
The dealership offered me great service and I was very impressed! Any body looking for a late model car should check them out, they had only super nice and clean cars, all the Mustangs were in excellent condition, I had a hard time choosing the one I did, but I got the car I was looking for!!

Worth checking out
I am very impressed. I had been searching private party sales, but my wife had found a Dodge Caravan listed on craigslist, located at Gage Auto. Because of the `stereotype` of independent car lots I was thinking, ""oh great, used car sales people...."". Gage Auto, and everyone (yes everyone) I dealt with there was great to work with. Not a lot of pressure, they kidded around with my kid and they even laughed at my ... view moremoronic sense of humor. Customer service was excellent, because I was shopping without my wife, the guys there even helped deliver the van home on a snowy night. The van was in near new condition and the price I received was close to KBB trade-in value.

I will shop there again and I am willing to recommend them.

The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because of 2 errors on the online ad. They listed it as having 39k miles, but it really had 42+k miles (It think the internet guy took the miles from the carfax and didn`t verify it on the dash) and they listed the van as having a roof rack which it does not. I wish I had caught this before I bought it, we have a roof top carrier for skis and camping gear (I`m not sure what I`m going to do now on that one). I believe these where incidental misstates and nothing intentional, but I really need a roof rack.

BETTER THAN MOST DEALERS
I used to work in the car business. Sorry to tell you, I shopped all over this town, only to end up back at Gage Auto. There store was very clean their cars were clean, and I did not feel as much pressure as the places with the sales staff in monkey suits hounding me. I bought a Suburban for what I felt was a good buy. I was offered a high rate due to the fact, I screwed up my credit up in my first marrige. I am just... view more glad they could obtain any financing for me.. Anyway I am very happy with my Suburban and I highly recomomend buying from the staff at Gage Auto. Thanks Kevin P Dixon

bad credit buyer beware
Very disappointed with this company. We went in to buy a car because they advertised that they would finance anyone. We have some credit issues..5 yr old BK, medical bills, 2yr old repo. We went in and picked a car in the price range we were told, not a great car and it had issues we knew of(High miles, signed a paper saying we knew the stereo did not work). We were urged to buy a powertrain warranty to ease our worri... view morees. We were told that financing wouldn`t be a problem and we signed the papers and drove the car home. When we had not heard from them in 6 days and had received a few credit denial letters we called and they said there was no problem it sometimes takes more than a week. That night I filled the gas tank-$34 (there was an 1/8th of a tank when they sent us home with it), put in fuel treatment..the fuel sender unit was malfunctioning-$8 and fixed the stereo that didn`t work. The next day we were informed that we could not get approved and had to bring the car back. We did and told them we would have appreciated a heads up before and all we got were excuses and not even an apology or offer to reimburse.

Questionable tactics, poor service, high pressure
I have had two experiences with Gage Auto Sales. The first time I was helping a friend find a car. The car was poorly represented and although the salesperson promised over the phone to let her view the carfax he couldn`t produce it when we showed up. The only thing the salesperson seemed to be able to do was ask ""What would it take for you to buy it today"". After driving the car we observed it pulled horribly ... view moreto one side and had obviously been wrecked. She told him she wanted to discuss it with her husband and they tried to talk her into buying it anyway contingent on the fact that her husband liked it. Of course, she could bring it back if he didn`t approve (lol). On my next visit, inquired about 3 vehicles at Gage and found upon my arrival that only one was there. This vehicle was nearly new but had wrecking yard paint marked on the passenger door. This vehicle also had paint overspray in the wheel wells and didn`t seem to track correctly-again, it appeared it had been wrecked. I noticed that they still have vehicles advertised that were supposedly sold when I arrived-nice tactic. This place is ultra high-pressure and they like to throw several different salespeople at you. At least both times I was there the test drive route was suspiously short so I didn`t waste too much time. Maybe they were worried the car wouldn`t make it back to their lot...........
