Reviews:
After looking locally (Everett, WA) and unable to find the Volvo XC70 my wife and I were looking to replace, we found one listed on craigslist from REV that looked like it could match our goal for budget and value. After e-mailing the dealership, I spoke with Drew at REV about the XC70 and my concerns about the car, and taking the time (3 hours) to drive to Portland before buying. Drew was able to get us "pre-approve... view mored" before going down, and also was kind enough to take additional photos so we could be sure that the Volvo would be up to our expectations. We were very pleased to find the Volvo in the condition that Drew expressed, and ending up purchasing a great Volvo XC70 from REV. The extra photos and financing ahead of time really helped. Thank you Drew for helping to make the drive worth it!

Shame on REV!
Shame on REV. These guys sold me a car with a ton of issues after promising me that the vehicle went through a rigorous inspection. Drew, the salesman, even went as far as to tell me that the price was not negotiable due to the fact REV had put money into the car to make sure that I was purchasing a vehicle that would not give me any problems! What a JOKE! After having the car for 2 days, I left Drew a Voicemail conv... view moreeying that the tire monitoring light would not go off and that the car was not running correctly. I never received a call back from him. I took the vehicle to a real shop, a shop specializing in VW, and they told me that the car had an array of problems. REV even put putty on the oil pan to stop a leak temporally! The VW had numerous drivability issues as well and the VW shop estimated that it would be in the neighborhood of $2,500 or more to fix all the problems. I presented all of this information to REV and they would not help me with any of the issues even though I only owned the car for a few weeks. Gabriel, one of the shady salesman, was a total jerk about the whole situation. He even called me a liar, and blamed me for "driving the car hard" and blowing out the diverter valve. He kept trying to sell more work on the car, work that should`ve been done before REV sold me the vehicle. They even marked up the price of the DV valve to $190 when I can walk into a dealership and purchase the same part myself for $132. REV was still trying to rip me off after they sold me a lemon! PLEASE!!!!! Do not make the same mistake I did and trust these con men. I should`ve known better. You can put lipstick on a used car salesman, but at the end of the day, it`s still a used car salesman.

I recently purchased a car from Rider European Vehicles. I went out there on a Saturday just to look and was pleasantly surprised at the great selection of high end European cars for very reasonable prices. The folks there were very nice, very knowledgeable and there was no pressure whatsoever. They let me take time looking over the car, driving it and addressed any questions/concerns I may have had. I left witho... view moreut buying a car but went back the very next day with two folks that know everything about cars. We spent about an hour prior to heading out there trying to find something on this establishment and/or car I was interested that may sway me from buying from them. Headed out to their shop and spent two hours mulling over the inside and out of the car I was interested in. Again, they were very nice, very patient, no pressure and after tearing the thing apart inside and out ? couldn?t find one thing wrong with the car ?and certainly had no complaints about the shop or the people running it. They give your space to look, drive and are extremely knowledgeable about the cars they take in to sell. They were very honest with me and even swayed me away from buying a sweet Mercedes Benz- indicating I might love it until something goes wrong and the cost to fix (since I am price sensitive), would blow my mind and I would not want the car. I was shocked at the candid feedback and found it very refreshing. I would highly recommend if you are in search of a nice European car and want a reasonable price- coupled with a staff of 3 that know everything about each car, with absolutely no pressure in buying, then this is the place for you! I have nothing negative to say about my experience and confident the car I purchased is well worth every penny spent. A+++++++ in my opinion.

Do not buy a car from Rider. Andrew Rider does not keep his word and has no idea what condition his cars are in. Just another used car dealer out for a quick buck.

Great guy, good prices with hard to find cars. no hassles. easy to work with.
cons:
i did not like how the cars were not 100 percent clean. the cloth seats were still stain from previous owners. Coolant was not full(but he did fill before leaving)
oil was low and black.
reverse light bulb was out..
spark plugs are yet to be checked.
all these were easy fixes and for that reason i give 4*

Andrew Rider, two thumbs DOWN I will never reccomend this place to anyone. Broken promises, shady dealings, never returned my phone calls. Bought a car that was supposedly good. Found out in the end how much he and his shop covered up.
#1 Tranmission issues on a supposedly new clutch (never gave promised records), #2 replaced truck trim with incorrect part, #3 faulty instrument cluster, #4 interior not original, ... view more#5 car had been in a wreck before (whereas he stated it had not), #6 major Check engine issues after smog, wouldn`t not assist)

Andrew and the others at Rider European Vehicles love fine autos and take pride in selling they best vehicles they can obtain. They were a pleasure to deal with and I have recommended them to friends, who are in the market for reasonable priced, higher end used vehicles. It`s refreshing to buy a car without the high pressure sales tactics and they follow through with what they say they will do for you. Thx REV!
