Poor Management and General Business Practice
My wife took her new car into the place because she wanted a way to plug in her Ipod. The salesmen sold her a nice Ipod Dock, and she seemed happy. She took it in to get it installed, had the work done, and came home. (Important Note: We did not receive an owners manual for our 2007 Yaris, and we had the car for 2 days at this point). I begin really checking out the car, and I find that it actually DOES have an a... view moreux input for Ipods, and it`s just hidden VERY well on the passenger side. I went into the business and asked them why, if they are indeed experts in stereo`s, they did not inform my wife that there was ALREADY a way to listen to her Ipod, and the man said ""Yes, but she really wanted the dock!"". I then instructed them to uninstall the dock and return my money, and they did, BUT he would not give me a full refund. He Charged me a 25% restocking fee for the merchandise, and would not refund the installation charges. All said and done, the manager ended up taking $75 of my money.

I`ve worked with logistics for a fortune 500 company for years, and I know that sometimes you ""take the bullet"" in a situation where your salesman sold a customer something they didn`t need. The item could have been returned to the vendor for full refund. I find this very shady.

Excellent Experience
Had them replace a stock subwoofer for my car. I already had an 4 way amp running the front and back door speakers. They fit a kicker 8"" sub and rerouted the amp back to the sub and front speakers only. Also purchased speaker damping material for the sub. They did an excellent job listening to what I wanted knowing I did my homework about my vehicle. They ran a quote of $310 and ended up paying $269. I would do... view more business with them anytime.

Terrible install and service
Drove 60 miles to these clowns because the local stereo shop in Longview is a ripoff. This place was even worse. Took 4 trips for them to get the Viper alarm system installed correctly. Then key fob started failing to operate properly. Went round and round with them. Just over a key fob. They wouldn`t replace it. Just traded the truck and will NEVER have after market equipment put in.

They`ve done well by me
I have had 2 or 3 receiver/players and speakers installed in a couple of cars over the years. They`ve always treated me well, no upselling or pressure. I was looking here to see if I wanted to try other retailer for my newly acquired car. After reading the lame negative reviews on citysearch... I`ll think just trust my own experience and return to Stereo King. They`ve never come to my home to steal or p... view moreillage....jeez.

I disagree with the previous review!
WOW what an unfounded comment to make about a business! I`ve never needed a new CD player (always happy with factory) but I would go to those guys in a heartbeat (as many people I know have happily). It just seems like a pretty trashy thing to say about a company that`s been around for like 30 years & it makes me wonder what the level of intelligence of that reviewer is. I mean: stolen radio + money left in car + oth... view moreer valuables untouched = succesful company did it?!?! Oh well, some people`s kids

CAUTION--BUYER BEWARE!!!!
I recently bought a cd player for my car and within days it was stolen. I KNOW it was an inside job. I live in a nice area in Oregon City and we NEVER have any sort of crime. Do not give your address when buying stereos. It makes me sick! They only took the stereo. I had a pair of designer sunglasses that were left as well as a lot of change in the console.
