Purchased a rebuilt engine for one of my company trucks. A month after the engine was installed we began having problems. Check engine light was coming on frequently. Turns out there was a part in the engine that had gone wrong. With diagnostics time, time to replace the part, and other related parts, the total for my repairs was $650.00. At the time, Portland Engine Rebuilders told me to go ahead and pay the bill an... view mored submit it to them and they`d "take care of me." From that point it was all down hill. Communication was poor. They wouldn`t return my calls/emails. In the end, they only covered just over $200 of my repair costs. They have a lot of fine print that you don`t realize is there until a warranty issue comes up. Basically, if anything is wrong with the engine after it`s installed - YOU will be the one paying for most of the repair costs. Their warranty is full if things they won`t cover and the consumer ends up taking the shaft. Take your money elsewhere!
