Unhappy Mercedes of Bend Customer - Beware of Service Dept.
I took my late model Mercedes in to get the front breaks done. I had regularly taken it to my local Mercedes Dealership and to a certified Mercedes mechanic for years where I come from out of State. The car has been impeccably maintained never a problem, just scheduled maintenance. I dropped off my car and a few hours later I got a call explaining to me that one of my front break calipers was frozen and needed to be ... view morereplaced which was a huge surprise to me especially because I know cars well and never had a single issue associated with their diagnosis. They also admitted they had never seen this problem before on my model and year and that no calipers were available anywhere in town or the state. I was very surprised and shocked that you can?ˆ™t find a break caliper for my model and would have to order it from Germany and had no Idea how long it would take.
At that point, I got a call that they put it back together ?ˆ?not fixed?ˆ? and sent me on my way with no resolve. I called my mechanic back home who says he can have one in an hour. MB of Bend called me back two days later to say sorry and admit, they didn`t call out of state or other parts stores outside of Bend to see if they could track the part down. Hmmm, you got to be kidding. What kind of customer service is this? Seems like, sorry my business is not worth for you to take a few extra minutes and make a few extra phone calls to find the part and do your job. Maybe they think they are the only game in town but the level of service sucks and will never go back. I took it to another shop in town who found no frozen caliper what so ever which makes sense, since I never had a single issue with it. He also found the caliper at a dealership in the Portland area in case I needed it. Mercedes of Bend said there were none! He fixed my breaks and got me on my way the next day. Do yourself a favor and take your Mercedes somewhere else, do some homework and find a good certified local mechanic who is going to take the time to earn your business.

My wife and have looked all over the NW for the right Car, we`ve been to other Benz Dealers, BMW, Lexus etc.
And fianlly we found some place that no only cattered to my wife ""particulars"", but to mine. One of our biggest turn off`s is to much pressure and some dealers are just overwhelming with there phone calls and emails, when i told them not to do that and to let us think it over, thats what they did and it w... view moreas a breath of fresh air after car shopping for the last few months. We will never shop else where as long as that dealer is in buisness

Great Dealer to buy a car from
***Update***
Took Car to my local MBZ dealer to have a few warranty issues taken care of. Back axle needed brakes and did not have over 50% or more lining left on them as represented by MBZ of Bend and the CPO agreement. Asked MBZ of Bend to reimburse me for the cost of bring the back brakes up to CPO standard and was told basically that they did not and could not make a mistake and that the MBZ dealer in my area ... view morewas a crook. No offer to split the difference no nothing.
Flew from San Francisco to purchase a car my wife was looking for and drive it back to San Francisco. I saved thousands over what the car would cost in San Francisco
Dealt with Kenny (Sales) and Jennifer (Office Manager) to complete the deal. These people could not have been nicer and more professional. Made me want to by all my future cars from this dealership.
The car was in perfect operational and mechanical condition - - the first Mercedes CPO car I have purchased that did not have something that do not work on it.
The only small drawback is the car was not detailed to the level that detail shops in the San Francisco Bay Area detail there cars. Expect to pay someone else $300 or so do detail the car properly.
