Reviews:
Jay Honda is the best Honda dealership in the area. Great sales team, great managers, and a fantastic finance department. Everyone is professional, fast, and attentive. They also have a great selection of inventory and go out of the way to make their customers happy. I`ve purchased two vehicles from them and referred many people to them.

We""ll never do business here again !!!
We have purchased past cars from Jay Honda, however we will never be back there again. After a week of car shopping , trying to get out of my lease a few months earlier and dealing with several dealerships, this one had to be one of my worst experiences. A salesman contacted me by phone , quoted me prices and we had multiple conversations. I drove 30 minutes to the dealership and than the price he quoted me for mont... view morehly payments was at least 70 dollars higher than his phone quote . I tore up the credit application and left. We bought a car at Honda of Mentor , staff was helpful, professional and honest . They worked well with us to get us a deal that fit our budget and gave us a car we were happy with. It also appears that my last lease deal with Jay Honda may have been a little shoddy and poorly done. Last time I ever deal with Jay Honda !!!

Service poor
I have taken my 2-year old Pilot in on two separate occasions--one within warranty and one outside the warranty period. Both experiences were poor. They did not provide a loaner car either time.
The first time I asked them to complete 3 different repairs to the car under warranty. I sat in the waiting room for over 2 hours because they did not have a loaner car for me--only to find out at the end of the t... view moreime that they were not able to complete any of the 3 requests on the car because they had not ordered all the parts to succesfully repair any of them! I needed to schedule another visit for these repairs and again had to take off from work because they continued not to offer a loaner car!
The second visit to the dealership was when my radio stopped working on a 2-year old Pilot with 48K miles--I again sat in the waiting room for close to 2 hours for them to tell me it was broken and they could do nothing about it but install a new radio for over $950! I declined the service because obviously their radios are not well constructed if they only last 2 years, and the cost was unbelievable. I found it hard to believe they wouldn`t help a consumer with a relatively new car with obviously a shoddy radio!
Definitely would look at other Honda dealers to buy from the next time!

The reason used car salesmen have a bad rep
I went with a friend to help her buy her first car. We`re young females, just out of college, and working hard at our first jobs. My friend found a 2007 Civic that she loved so we took it to my mechanic who found $2000 worth of repairs. We took it back to Jay Honda to negotiate repairs and prices and they refused to budge saying that the car had passed through their certified maintenance. We pushed, trying to at leas... view moret get a new battery (the Civic had the original battery, which failed the stress test of my mechanic). The manager said that if a car turns on then the battery passes . . . so much for certified maintenance! He also treated my friend and I like we were insane to want the battery replaced and the price lowered stating that ""someone will buy it"". Jay Honda sells cars with failing batteries to unsuspecting people so I urge everyone to be a smart consumer. These guys were rude and will do anything to make a quick buck, including putting people in unreliable cars.

not even worthy for a star
i purchsed Honda Civic last year 2008. I was supposed to get $100 gas coupon like as it was written under the contract.
I have not gotten it until now. I have called and visited to get the stupid coupon. but they kept telling me to wait.
It has been a year..but have not gotten it.
Jay Honda is not even worthy for a star.

POOR SERVICE
After writing to the bureau of better business for shotty salesmanship, I thought I had worked everything out. (with Jay Honda) However, when I went to have my car`s hood repaired (under warranty) I was then told I would be without a car for three days and they did not have a loaner or demo to borrow for that period of time. Let me tell you that was part of the deal of the original purchasse Unfortunatly, I am not go... view moreing to re-write to the bureau of better business however, I will not recomed Jay Honda to as many people as possible and never purchase from them again. Also, drive 20 mins away to Classic Honda in Streetsboro and get a better deal there. Sales Tax is a whole lot cheaper and they will do anything to help.
