Rudest salesmen ever. Manager ...
Rudest salesmen ever. Manager Greg believes they have a complete monopoly on all jeeps. Thus he feels he can treat anyone who`s interested in a jeep poorly. 2012 models the exact same price as 2013, although Greg says he can "work with you more on the 2012," and then completely refuse to negotiate after the test drive. They will steal your drivers license if you don`t specifically ask for it back. Went to ... view moreGanley and was treated 50 times better.

Horrible Customer Service!
I strongly recommend that you do not purchase a vehicle from Ed Tomko in Avon Lake!
The sales person was extremely rude and at one point had refused to allow us to test drive a vehicle because we had previously driven an older model of that same vehicle at a different dealership. He refused to explain any of the vehicle features to us (we had to ask ALL of the questions) and once we DID ask the questions he w... view moreas reluctant to answer, When we asked if we could see particular vehicles he practically dragged himself to the vehicle and stood by with his arms crossed as if we were a burden to him. And again, we were asking all of the questions. I felt so bothersome at one point that I had to actually ask him if I had done something to upset him. His demeanor didn`t even change after I inquired, For a company who operates on sales, they are seriously lacking in their sales department. For an industry that should set high standards for customer service, they are seriously lacking in their customer service department, I walked away from that dealership questioning myself....wondering what I could have possibly done to have upset someone I didn`t even know, I then realized that there is no reason to blame myself,,,,I simply wanted to buy a car and they are a car dealership. I was polite and friendly (as usual) and didn`t deserve such treatment for no particular reason.
Directly following that terrible experience, we went to Pat O`Brien Chevy in Vermilion and had an AMAZING experience, Their sales people opened doors for us, offered us water and snacks and offered our children to watch their favorite TV show while we ""crunched numbers"". I could not believe how wonderfully we were treated and would recommend anyone to go see for themselves! We had an amazing experience at Pat O`Brien and will be going back next week to close the deal on our new vehicle.
Ed Tomko is about 10 minutes from our house so we, of course, wanted to check it out, I saw the negative reviews about them prior to going but thought to myself, `I`m such a friendly person that they won`t be rude to me...it won`t happen to me."" I was wrong! I STRONGLY suggest that you choose any other dealership besides Ed Tomko when searching for a vehicle!

Terrible Customer Service
I had a bad experience at Ed Tomko over the weekend. We just leased a new Grand Cherokee for my wife a few weeks ago. Ed Tomko was over priced so I ended up leasing through Brunswick Auto Mart, who had the best pricing and hand delivered the car to our house. I went in to Ed Tomko a few days ago because I needed a Jeep dealer that was close by to put on the front license plate. When I went to Service, the rude ge... view morentleman (Dave Tomko) immediately asked me over and over who was my salesperson before helping me out. Once I told him I leased the car through Brunswick, he looked annoyed and told me to go there and have them put in on. He would not spend a few minutes helping me out. I was waiting for him to start laughing, thinking he was joking, but he was serious. Brunswick was an hour away and Ed Tomko was 10 minutes from my house.
I thought all Jeep dealers fix/repair any type of Jeep product. But Dave Tomko made it clear they only service cars that are bought or leased through Ed Tomko. Putting on a front license plate would have taken just a few minutes. He was obviously trying to be very difficult and could care less that I was there, even though the place was completely dead. He was short, very rude and extremely unprofessional. Now I know why it was a weekend and the place looked like a ghost town.
I will never go back to Ed Tomko nor recommend my family or friends from ever going there as well.

Poor Customer Service
I wouldn`t recommend purchasing any Chrysler product period, but if you`ve got your heart set on one, stay away from Ed Tomko Chrysler in Avon Lake, Ohio.
While their service people are qualified and even cordial, the who I can only assume is the son of the owner (same last name) is an absolute louse. Apparently he was trained at the corporate customer service seminars because his idea of customer service is le... view morecturing the owner and talking over the owner in mid sentence. This guy wouldn`t know good customer service if it bit him in his worthless you know. Do yourself a favor, do your family a favor, stay away from this dealership.
I can`t stress this enough, if you want a Chrysler product, get it from somewhere else.

A major disappointment
We recently purchased a vehicle from this dealership and were extremely disappointed in the service we received. We expressed a desire to speak with the Manager of the dealership concerning the situation, but he would not give us the time of day. This was very upsetting considering how much money we spent on our new vehicle. Do yourself a favor - if you plan to buy a new Jeep or Chrysler, do not use this dealersh... view moreip. People deserve better service, especially when spending this kind of money.
