I had a muffler system installed on my Cadillac by Monro several years ago. After the mufflers rusted out I took the car in to have them replaced. They were still under warranty, but it cost me $200 to have them replaced (turns out I could have had it done elsewhere for $125, even without the warranty). Three weeks later the mufflers started to drag on the road. Fortunately I had a coat hanger in the car and was a... view moreble to temporarily re-attach the mufflers for the trip back to Monro. I ruined a shirt in the process. Monro`s manager told me that the mufflers could not be re-attached without replacing the exhaust pipe from the engine to the mufflers. I was told it would cost $375 for the part and about $125 for the labor. I opted for a second opinion. I took the car to Solo Mufflers on Eakin Rd for that second opinion. The technician asked me who had installed the mufflers and why they didn`t fix it. When I told him the story he shook his head in disbelief. He promptly welded the exhaust system back together and charged me $50. Save yourself time, money, and aggravation. Don`t go to Monro!
