I used to like and trust Mike ...

I used to like and trust Mike but last time I went in I had a flashing engine light and backfiring exhaust problem and was also do for inspection . I had had it to another mechanic that wasn`t able to fix it . Mike said it might be blah blah blah and it would cost $400 but if that didn`t work he`d have to also do Blah blah at another $300 . Of course in the end it was $700 . He told me it might need tweaking and to m... view moreake sure to come see him before I took it for inspection . The light never went off but it did stop flashing and did run less rough but still was not right and I often smelled gas fumes . Then I got pulled over for a road side inspection and failed for exhaust . Now he tells me that he can`t touch it because he is not authorized to work on exhaust systems and that he didn`t fix my exhaust he "Fixed " my engine light & car backfiring ( which was guess what ? An Exhaust problem ) . . Of course for 20 bucks I could have had someone disconnect the engine light and at least that would have been off ) . He did warn me that he was not authorized to work on exhaust but said he could fix it . So I paid $700 to stop ( but not turn off ) a blinking engine light and half fix an exhaust problem . I don`t get it . If I had my roof done and only half of it leaked would that be Okay ? He should have never taken the job or my money .

Peace of Mind for Any Driver

When I ventured into the scary world of car ownership, I was blessed with a tower`s recommendation: "Need a mechanic? Go see MAC!` I have had the best service ever! He`s honest, fully explains what`s needed and why, and is very reasonable. I won`t take my cars anywhere else.

Mac The Fixer.

"Mac" and his crew really are experts at keeping a car together and functioning. Mac will also let you know when in is time to stop putting any more money into your charriot. He will thoroughly explain why a certain repair should (or not) be repaired. They will go the extra mile to satisfy you (with a REASONABLE requwst).
