terrible repair service
I went to the service dept to get a transfer case leak repaired. Since I have extended warranty, I don`t mind going to the dealer to fix the issue. But they did not fix the leak. They somehow find a way to break my key and scratch my door. I was there with another customer which have a brand new car that they manage to scratch the whole passanger side of the car. Him and I are very upset. I would stay away from this ... view more""auto group"" (they sell many car brands.)

Terrible Terrible Terrible
This was a terrible experience. Stay away from this dealer!!! They outright lied to me and were totally unprofessional. I am looking for a used Nissan Titan Crew Cab pickup. This is a fairly rare truck, so I`ve had to travel to look at them. I saw an ad for this pickup on Cars, com. The price was within my price range. I called the dealership, explained what I was looking for, my trade-in and financial situation (... view moreI own an Xterra, that is fully paid off, and I have good credit.) Mostly, I wanted to make sure that the car was available before I left for the dealer (who was about 40 miles away). I spoke with Goldie, who was very nice on the phone, and said all the right things, such as their late office hours, children`s lounge, etc. Later that day, I decided to drive to the dealer to check it out. I called Goldie again, just to make sure the truck had not been sold in the 2-3 hours since we had originally spoken. I told her I was on my way. She assured me that the car was available. Due to some insane traffic on the BQE, it took me almost 2 hours to get to the dealership. I was told immediately that the truck was ""sold"" only moments before and that it was no longer on the lot. I was very annoyed that noone called me, or that noone told me that another customer was so close to purchasing the vehicle. However, I sensed that there was more to the story, so I asked to see a manager (Dave). Dave told me that someone had put a deposit of $100 on the truck, which he was glad to ignore if I wanted the truck. However, the prior customer couldnt get the car to start so the dealer sent the car to service. It was probably a battery problem. Dave left to call the service department, and advised that I couldnt go to the service garage to see the truck until the following day. There were no apologies for my inconvenience. I was still interested in the truck, but I didnt want to waste another afternoon if this was going nowhere. So I asked Dave if he would take a look at my trade-in to see if we would be able to make a deal. Dave said no, because his ""trade-in guy"" finished his shift at 5, and as this was 5:30, he wouldn`t be able to look at my car. He said, ""I can`t look at your trade right now, what can I say?"" I responded immediately, ""you could have told me that you only do trades before 5, or that the truck was nearly sold, or that it was being serviced."" Dave responded, ""I do not give free appraisals on cars. But [I] could call him the following day, after 4, and see what happened at the service garage."" I asked about the other buyer, to which he responded that $100 wasnt a real deposit in his eyes, and that he would refund the money to the other buyer if I bought the car. I threw his business card on the floor and walked out. Total waste of my time.

most corrupt, dishonest. Stay away
Stay away. I drove from westchester to brooklyn giuffre mazda because they advertised a 2005 subaru wrx for a good price, I agreed to that price with salesman, sales manager and finance person, never did anyone say that there was an additional $3000 cost that came with this vehicle. The finance person asured me that the price was what I saw advertice and them proceded to tell me the tax and registrarion fees, my... view more interest rate and monthly payment. Never said or showed me the additional cost, he just added the 3000 to the price of car. never showed me a detailef invoice. I am currently speaking with a couple of attorneys and press to expose this crooks.

Scammers and thiefs
Buyer Beware! This is positively the worst auto dealership in NYC, I had the misfortune of trying to lease a Mazda 3 from them; as soon as I walked into the dealership with a newspaper advertisement in my hand, I was told by the saleperson that the offer was no longer in effect but that they had even better offers available. After about 3 hours of trying to scam me into giving them a $500 deposit, the salesperson fil... view moreled out some form and indicated on it that the deposit was non-refundable. No wonder the guy was agigated when I insisted on thoroughly reading the fine print on the form, it basically said in fine print that all deposits are refundable by law no matter what is written on the form. That should have been my first warning, but the guy insisted that it`s a standard form and all dealers do it. Long story short, they wanted me to sign a blank lease agreement because in their words, ""You need to sign it today, or you won`t get the incentive bonus"" I have had enough at that point and walked out. After doing some research and asking around, I found out that apparently they`re under investigation by DMV for forging people`s signatures and initials. Basically stay away. Just look at their ratings with BBB or inquire with NYC Dept. of Consumer Affairs. Remember never to sign blank papers and always get copies of everything you sign!!!

Very Suspicious, Beware!!!!
I live approximately two hours away from this dealership and was interested in buying a 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT-4 which Giuffre had priced at $16,999. I sent a request to the dealership`s contact website on a Sunday and waited three days for a phone call that never came. Typically, a dealership that wants customers usually calls within 12 hours time, so I thought this to be a little odd. But regardless, on the end... view more of the third day, Wednesday, I called Giuffre. A woman with an accent (maybe Indian?) answered the phone. The women said that her name was Jane, and I am positive that this was her name because I could not understand her and asked her to repeat it several times!! She said to me that the car was on the lot and asked me if I wanted to see it. I had work on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and told her that I would contact her on Monday to confirm that the car was still there and to come down and see it. Two days later, on Saturday, I received a phone call from Jane and was unable to answer it because I was working at the time. A voicemail was left by Jane, stating that I never showed up for my 2PM appointment that was scheduled for the day before (Friday)... I never scheduled an appointment, so I began to wonder if this was some sort of tactic, or just sheer stupidity. On Monday, I was getting ready to call Giuffre and I decided to check their website again to make sure that the vehicle was still there. The vehicle was still there, but to my surpise, the price on the vehicle had been dropped from $16,999 to $12,999. I immediately became suspicious, because a price on a vehicle doesn`t drop like that unless there is something wrong with the vehicle!! I called Giuffre to find out what was wrong with the car. I spoke with a secretary who asked me who I was calling for. I told her I was calling for Jane. The women told me that they did not have anyone named Jane working there, but that they did have a guy named Gene. She then proceeded to put me through to ""Gene."" I spoke with him and he also told me that there was no there named Jane, and no one with an accent either! Anyway, I told ""Gene"" that I was interested in the Dodge Caliber SRT-4, at which time, Gene said to hold on while he brought it up on the computer. Gene said that he had it up on the computer and asked me what I wanted to know. I told him that I wanted to know why the price was dropped on the vehicle seemingly overnight by $4,000. All of a sudden, Gene said that his computer was down and he could not bring the car up. Now how could the computer be down all of a sudden when he just told me that he had the car on the screen in front of him????? Gene didn`t have an answer for me, except for telling me that he could take my name and number and contact me back. Guess what, today is Thursday (three days later), and I still haven`t received a call. Sounds shady to me. Buyers beware of this dealership. All the other reviews are spot on about this place full of crooks and scum.

Stay Away! Very Very Dishonest!
I rarely write such a poor review but I feel it is necessary to warn anyone who attempts to purchase from Giuffre only because you would have to deal with the auto mechanic if you have a warranty (or should I say so you think you have one). There is such poor customer satisfaction and until they realize telling people yes something is under warranty and then later telling you it`s not then this place should seriou... view moresly close down. I was trapped into sending my car all the way there where in fact I could`ve easily brought it up the block for almost 200.00 less. My mistake was not getting a name of the person who said it was under warranty, although I`m not even sure that would`ve made a difference. When I explained to Tim over there the situation he was nice enough to listen and apologize, but unfortunately his boss Tommy was the complete opposite. Customer satisfaction class 101 should`ve told you to at least apologize to the customer. Clearly he shouldn`t be dealing with people. And what did he offer as to satisfy myself and maybe stop me from writing this truthful review, nothing. Luckily AAA will tow from one place to another if you haven`t already towed it to that one place already. Tommy and the person who lied to me over the phone will never realize the trouble you put me though. As having a broken foot, a 19 month old to take care of, and a husband who took enough time off from work wasn`t enough, I now have to deal with rude untruthful mechanics.

worst ever!
Stay away from the short fat guy with tattoo, he is a service writer! Beware of his hidden agenda, he is only after of your MONEY! Believe me, he is never a type that could give you costumer satisfaction... OR never give chance guiffre to service your car, otherwise you`ll end up regreting!

STAY AWAY
by far, the worst dealership i have ever stepped foot in
unprofessional, rude, demeaning, dishonest, both sales and the manager
the mazda is great, if you want one drive anywhere else than to giuffre to get one
one star becasue that is the lowest this site allows, they don`t deserve any star at all
brooklyn dude / 4/8/2011

The worst ever. School for sociopathy.
OMG., I have been a car dealer for over 32 years and NEVER have I encountered a more ignorant deceptive group of incompetent sleazebags in my life. What is this group, a cash laundering front for the Mafia? I wanted to buy a car cash and could never get an out the door price. Was told it was sold. Next day it was available. WTF?? One reviewer called it a ""cesspool of deception."" I cannot even compliment these foo... view morels that much. Maybe they prey on the desperate but if you have a grain of sense"" abandon hope all ye who enter here."" The staff certainly have. Guiffre means goofy in Italian?
