Dishonest + disorganized = don`t go here
Don`t go here.
I needed a standard part replaced on my muffler along with some routine maintenance that they had advertised specials for in the weekly flyer. I dropped the car off around lunchtime, and called around 4. They didn`t know if they`d done the work, what work they`d done and told me they couldn`t fix the muffler.
I called back 20 minutes later. They did the wrong maintenance, didn`t fix the ... view moremuffler and now some new dashboard warnings suddenly appeared and they need to do a diagnostic ($45) to figure out the new problems.
The assistant manager called back 30 minutes later. They could fix the muffler and told me I was mistaken, I asked for the maintenance I got and I have to pay for it (even though I didn`t sign for it). The dashboard warnings were my fault and not theirs.
Called the customer service hotline. Basically, Strauss Auto can`t do anything about it, they`ll file a report and I might hear back in the next couple of months if the regional office decides to review the complaint.
Bottom line: I`m out a couple hundred for work I didn`t want, I have a bunch of dashboard lights on that weren`t before I dropped the car off and they still try to get some more $$$ out of me for a diagnostic check. Hey, at least they managed to fix the muffler like I asked for after I called a couple of times and complained. They weren`t willing to listen or help after I called to sort out the confusion either, instead it was my fault.
These guys are out to make quick $$$ off of people, they`re dishonest and I wouldn`t recommend them to anyone.
