BEWARE!!!! SEAN who runs this Place. Is RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, and NOT A MAN OF THEIR WORD. I purchased a radiator for a 97 ford. bought it with Warranty & Inspection. we put the radiator in and it wasn`t leaking, everything was hooked up right. and we had a new thermostat and and the cars gauge went all the way up and wouldn`t come down..so because we noticed that the radiator had calcium deposits in it.. we called th... view moreem and told them it was not working right. and that since they had said they would give out money back we told them we would be bringing it back for a refund...Talked to Megan, since Ben was busy with customer. time was running out.. so we went got NEW radiator at pep boys for 176.66 before they closed. Next day we put in New Radiator and went to take used back to American Auto Recyclers to get back out Money. Ben was out of yard and met Sean, we explained that the radiator was bad and that we had a warranty and he asked a bunch of questions about how we installed it and all. we answered all his questions . he came back after talking to his guys and said he was not going to refund our Money. I said we bought a new radiator and it worked just fine and he came back Totally Rude, raising his voice and treating me like I was some Thief. So he refused to refund . gave a credit, took the Radiator and My reciept. and gave me a 80.00 credit on a business card. This place is a RIP OFF and they don`t Care at all about Their customers..SEAN is a Young man who should not be in business.

SELLERS BEWARE! the people that are running this place (Sean) are engaged in unlawful activities including ripping off people who come there by to exchange property for cash. They start with a means of relieving you of your property by telling you to drop the property there to be held while they "contact the DMV" to clear the title on any old junk vehicle. They keep it for 3 months, use the DMV records to c... view moreontact the legal owner, but not for the reason you that they tell you. They are not trying to "clear title". They try to extort money from the legal owner by issuing an invoice to the them to see if they will pay the "storage fees". Our friends were invoiced for $2,000 for an old fire engine they donated to us that we could use for raising money. Glad they called us when they got the invoice!! This place is also engaged in other unlawful and harmful activities by NOT paying the legal, published price for the scrap as promised. The vehicle we delivered weighed 13,000 lbs. The scrap price was $1.+ per pound but they said it was .50 Cents per pound. They would not allow us to see the site that they were quoting from (web). Our brother deals with scrap in CA and said the price was $1.00 the day we took it. When we didn`t want to take the check for $600 because he owed us between 1100 and 1300 dollars, they then threatened to not give us anything because we needed to pay a $2,000 storage fee! Giving this business a big fat ZERO (there are no minus stars or I would do that) for: Telling Lies Creating false information holding property that does not belong to them encouraging customers to give information with the intent to use the information to extort funds from others hiring Gonzo to be present when you come to pick up your check, and then using him as a scare tactic to steal the money from you I could go on like this for hours. We are in the process of contacting the BBB in Reno, NV, Yelping about this and encouraging all others that love and respect their firefighters to NOT give this business a second look. We would suggest any other place in the world to take your car or your old fire engine to be recycled, but not this one. by the way, this site won`t allow ZERO stars....
