I can`t speak to their work quality, because they were so incredibly and dishonestly overpriced that I refused all services. The hourly rate is pretty standard, but they grossly exaggerate the time it takes to do any job, and they itemize each job, so as to exponentially increase the cost (as if they can`t do two things at once). When you call them on it, they say ""Look, this is a business and we`re here to make m... view moreoney,"" as if I don`t know that or respect that. I found it ridiculously corrupt and condescending. They bank on the assumption you`re a schmuck who`ll pay whatever they say for your European car. And they must pay the girl at the desk fairly well to either play dumb or act tough, whichever the situation calls for.

For example, their charge for a change of oil, spark plugs, air filter and cabin filter on a VW Passat 1.8T is $600. So they`re charging you about $100 extra/over for parts and for 4 hours of labor (that`s 4 hours x $100/hour) for something that shouldn`t take a professional (let alone an average dude with his own tools) more than 45 minutes to 1 hour. I wouldn`t pay more than $200 if I was desperate.

The estimate on a CV boot repair is also $500-600 dollars, and that`s if you DON`T need a new axle. Whereas Les Schwab will charge around $200 for a whole new axle/boot assembly.

$500-600 to replace motor mounts?

These are flat out lies about the cost of parts and labor. At that point I don`t care if they do good work or not (which looks debatable based on other reviews). Granted, they might be using original VW parts, but to me that just means they`re charging extra for parts that are already overpriced. The new ownership seems to have really changed things at this place.
