If you don`t need service buy it here

John will give you a fair deal on buying, but the service department is lost. I brought my bike there explained to two people what the problem was and how I tried to fix it. They said the noise was from a dry chain and charged me $107 for a service. I had only asked for a oil and filter change, and to fix the squeal that should have been warranty, not a complete service. They told me the mechanic drove it and the noi... view morese was gone. I took it for a ride because I had told them I lubed the chain trying to get rid of the squeal, and in less than one minute it started squealing again, just as it has been doing like I told both of them. This squeal is so loud I have had other riders stop thinking I was beeping my horn to get their attention. I brought the bike in with 997 miles, after I took my test drive it had 998. So they couldn`t have checked it out too well. I was complaining about them doing a service but not fixing the original problem and charging me $107 for an oil change, the owner did not even want to hear my story, he just shut me up three times. I told him maybe if he would listen to the conflicting information I was given maybe he would understand, he still would not listen. I told him to go away then, he told me he owns the store and will stand there if he likes. Not the best way to treat customers. They then opened the door, put my bike outside and closed the door. A fitting send off for the way I was treated. If you can get your bike serviced elsewhere you could buy it here, but I will not step foot in the place again. The most unorganized service department I have ever seen, and I have owned more than 40 bikes, many of them new. I don`t feel they purposely did anything wrong, just lame and don`t care to put out any effort to get things right. They can`t even get their stories the same. I also waited three plus hours for my bike to be delivered when I bought it because they forgot I was coming in. I watched the bike, nobody was even prepping it until I complained after two hours. Bottom line, I brought it there to fix the squeal, but since it was there I would have the oil changed. They did a complete service, not the oil change I asked for, and avoided the more difficult troubleshooting. You can get a bike for $200 less at OTD MC in CA. I figured I would pay the extra $200 to have a local dealer relationship for such problems. See what it got me? BTW my last Kawi dealer where I just moved from, ten years of great service and I purchased three new bikes from them. I will not give up on Kawasaki, just this dealer.
