Automotive repair best customer service
The service we got at the Auto Doctor was incredible! They helped us after we broke down on I80 passing through Truckee. Not only did they get our car fixed in a timely manner, they helped my family with our dogs and kids and helped us get to a hotel for the night in town. Picked us up they next morning, and just really cared about making sure we were ok. THAT is service! Thank you Auto Dr!!!! You guys are the best!!... view more!

Well taken care of
Sunday wasn`t the best day of my life. Having a mechanical breakdown on HWY 80 was pretty miserable.
Fortunatly for me, ""The Auto & Tire Doctor"" was where the tow truck took my vehicle.
The staff made everything easy, from the repair to the car rental recommendation.
I REALLY like the chocolate kisses left for me in my truck.
I hope I never need their services again, but if I do, I know I will be well taken c... view moreare of!

The Auto & Tire Doctor made me SICK!
I took my vehicle to this place to have my studded snow tires mounted, since I purchased them there. Later that afternoon, I received a call from the owner (John) telling me that I really needed to replace my front brakes. I told him I had just had my brakes inspected 4 weeks earlier, and my regular mechanic told me I still had 25%-35% pad left, but told him to go ahead and change them since the car was already at th... view moree shop. My bill was $623. This ""RIP-OFF"" shop put front loaded calipers and rotors on my car without my knowledge, or permission. As of today, the owner (John) has offered me $250 credit, but this is unsatisfactory considering the work was never requested, nor authorized. I fully intend to pursue legal action against them, and will also file complaints with any applicable consumer reporting agency in an attempt to get the word out. This guy even tried to lie and tell me after the fact that he had informed me what work needed to be done. This was AFTER Bob had already called to offer me $200 credit for unauthorized work on the car. Do NOT take a vehicle to them! You will be treated in a similar manner, then threatened with their little ""scare tactics"", and left feeling COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF!
