Reviews:
awesome car dealership
i hate buying new cars. i`ve never had a comfortable experience on a car lot in life. i went here after hearing that they didn`t have a pushy sales staff, and i`m so glad i did. they were up front and honest with me. i got a GREAT deal. the entire staff was super friendly. i don`t have the greatest credit, but i had a sizable down payment put aside and they worked with me to find a car that fit my needs as a consumer... view more.
if you like minis and have ever considered buying one i really recommend going for a test drive at least. the people at desert mini will treat you right. i`m completely satisfied with my car and the entire experience at desert.
also, in regards to the other 1 star review on here. i had my service check and they didn`t charge me anything with out asking me for approval first. when i declined to pay something because i thought it was too pricey, the service manager preformed the service anyway and it was comped because he, ""just wanted me to be happy with my car.""
i don`t know what happened with the other person`s situation, but i personally find their service department to be amazing.

Take your repairs elsewhere
In late March I took my Mini Cooper to Desert Mini for a check engine light and inoperative A/C. After charging me over $700 for ""diagnosis"" they concluded that a faulty battery was my problem, and for nearly another $200 they replaced it. After I picked up the car problems began appearing almost immediately - including several I didn`t have when I took the car in. The car began stalling at idle, the check engine l... view moreight returned, the A/C quit again and the fuel gauge quit working. I took the car back. This time they said that I needed a new A/C compressor - the same compressor they had told me was fine after two-plus days of their pricey diagnosis. They would be glad to do the job - for another $1,500.
I took my car to an independent mechanic, who almost immediately diagnosed the problem (nothing even close to what Desert Mini said) and made the necessary repairs. It has been more than two weeks since the proper repair, and not a hint of another problem.
My experience with Desert Mini has been this: As long as your car is under warranty, you get decent service. As soon as the warranty expires they see you as a giant bag of cash to be gouged for whatever they can get out of you. Never mind that they misdiagnose your car and charge you hundreds of dollars for their mistakes.
I would rate them zero stars if the system would allow it.
