Reviews:

Worst! Internet sales are a SCAM! Run away. Run far. Run fast. Grossinger Toyota advertised a 2008 Toyota Sequoia on the internet for $33,995. My friend negotiated the price of $32,000.00 on Friday, February 22, 2013. Internet salesman obtained the approval of the price from the manager, Shon Jennings. My friend then books a one-way flight from South Carolina to Chicago to purchase the vehicle and dri... view moreve it home. He arrives on the lot the next day - Saturday, February 23, 2013. Conveniently, internet salesperson "did not turn in his paperwork" so Grossinger would not honor the negotiated $32,000.00 price. Conveniently, the internet salesman was not available that Saturday and Grossinger `could not get hold of him.` [Sounds like they`ve done this a few times ...] Knowing my friend had traveled a great distance using a one-way plane ticket, Grossinger - and specifically Shon Jennings - had the audacity to refuse to budge even a penny! Jennings did not even have the courtesy, the decency, or the kahunas to talk to my friend face-to-face to discuss. Jennings relayed through his salesman some made up story that - coincidentally - a customer was coming in the following Monday (this was on a Saturday) allegedly to purchase the vehicle at full price - so he would not take one cent less than list. [Can I hear a "yeah, right!"?] With his only other option to be to return to the airport and book a flight home, my friend was forced to capitulate and had to pay $1,995.00 more for the Sequoia than the internet salesman confirmed on the phone the day before. This is my people do not buy cars from internet advertising by dealerships and you should not do business with this one.

I would give minus star if pos...
I would give minus star if possible. They advertise 2012 toyota camry for $16,702 on black friday 2011. I was there first in line standing there since 11 PM night before. When they let people in they did not give ticket to anyone and after 10 minutes of computer work sales person said they sold that car and that was the only one on sale for that price. Other people acknowledge that I was first person in line. Accordi... view moreng to advertisement it says "First Come Basis" and the manager Mark told me I was sixth i.e. 5 sales person brought deal before. Does this mean "First Cone Basis"? This means my faith is on sales person`s hand not me. I have even offered CC buy and done the deal with. Other people waiting in the line with me I talked to are of the opinion they did not fair good deal for this and it was not transparent. This is ridiculous and pathetic professionalism. Even after explaining that I was there since 11 PM night before, the response was just pathetic and they tell you "happy thanksgiving". People work here dont even know the meaning of it I guess. I would not deal with any of GROSSINGER dealer or would do everything in my power to stop my friend/relative/someone close to not do business with them.

Don`t buy from these shiesters
My experience with Grossinger Toyota has not been a pleasurable one. I purchased a used vehicle and was offered a whopping three day mechanics review, unfortunately I was leaving on business for a week. I dropped the vehicle off at my mechanic before I left who brought it to my attention that the mileage on the vehicle was not consistent with the age and condition of the mechanical parts. It was also clear to my m... view moreechanic a vehicle safety inspection was never performed before they offered the car for sale and informed me I was lucky i didn`t kill myself on the way home given the condition of the brakes on the vehicle. If that`s not enough I was only given a valet key when purchasing the car and was told by the sales person I would have no problem getting a new key cut. When i arrived home and looked into it I can`t have a new key cut and programmed using only a valet key and am now going to have to pay approximately $450 for a new key. I tried working with the sales associate Al to get a referral to somewhere I may be able to get it done cheaper and was referred to a business who wanted to charge me more than a dealership would! Management has more or less told me they are going to do nothing for me and the general manager of the dealership hasn`t even bothered to return my calls. I`ve filed an appropriate complaint and would not recommend buying a vehicle from Grossinger Toyota North

worst experience ever- dont do any business with them!!
I bought my car few months back from this place. Worst every experience in my life I had! zahir abouribieh was salesman, worst person I ever met!! I mean, just too much! He will try to take every penny that you have in your pocket. I am sure the owners know about it and everything must be going per their advice, but hey, it wont work long term!! Long term success of a business completely depends on how you treating th... view moree customers well and not by cheating them. I understand, in auto business, there is extreme competition, but this is surely not the way! My advice- dont do any business with them! stay away!! once you buy anything from them, once the papers are signed, thats it!! you are gone!!

Recent updates- After several attempts to tell my grievences to the owner, she asked the sales manager to talk to me. Turns out that he is another salesman, calling Me the lier and threatening me!!! Imagine going through such a pain just for buying a car from them!!!!!

Terrible!
This dealership is lousy, rude and lies to customers. I bought a new car there and needed a door scratch buffed out as part of the purchase agreement. They said that they would complete the work "tomorrow" but kept my car (which had already been paid for) for 10 days the SECOND time I had to return it there for the same problem. I have "owned" the car for almost 3 weeks and Grossinger has had it in their posession... view more for more than half that time. They make empty promises, take no responsibility for unkept agreements and treat you like a burden not a customer. Do not buy here!

Worse Service- Did everything opposite of what I wanted
I brought my 2007 Toyota Camry to this dealership and specifically instructed them not to change my oil as I only use Mobile One, told them specifically not to wash my car because the soft cloth they use still puts spider web scratches on your paint. After I recieved service, I was dismayed to not only discover they washed my car, but also changed my oil and to put conventional motor oil is a huge no no once you us... view moree synthetic. I was also dismayed that my front bumper was scratched from a portor hitting it with another car. After voicing my complaint to the service director, he became very aggressive and instead of being apologetic, he was suggesting I go get service someplace else. Since this horrible experience I have never returned or will ever go back to a store that is callous and cannot follow the simplist of instruction.

NEVER COMING BACK!!!
I REALLY hope management is reading this or readers out there pass this on. I`m SICK and TIRED of how they keep constantly trying to rip me and other drivers with LIES and FALSE CLAIMS saying your car needs ""this and that"". I`d expect that run around from other repair garages, but NOT from a reputible car dealer. This past Winter 07, my car was acting sluggish and engine light kept coming on. So their suggestio... view moren (after 3 FAILED ATTEMPTS to fix the problem) was to keep the car over a week. So I did and when I got it back, things were ""missing"" (i.e. iPod, coins). I confronted the person in charge of my car and he ""claimed"" he didn`t find anything. He also claimed that the problem was the same reason as all those other times, ""spark plug misfire"". What the F#$% does that mean? If you replaced the spark plug the 1st time, then it shouldn`t ""misfire"" the 2nd or 3rd. I spent clost to $1000 to get it ""fixed"". This past weekend (9/8) I took it back for 75K. I SPECIFICALLY told them, please have it ready by 11:30 AM. They assured me the procedure would only take 2-2 1/2 hrs. I get a call at 11 and the guy gives me BS on how I needed this and that. I said no and I was picking up the car. He says it won`t be ready by 1PM. I aruged that I TOLD him 1130 and I quickly rushed over. When I got there, he says they`re just finishing up and it would be ready. 15 minutes past (11:45) and it`s STILL not ready. 12PM passes and it`s STILL not ready and I`m POed. 12:15 it`s FINALLY ready, only now with the taillight bulb needing replacement. Being out of time, I snatched the papers, paid, and left FED UP!!! They didn`t even fix the taillight, just handed me the bulb and said ""fix it yourself"". You call that customer service? It was the LAST STRAW making me wait and miss my appointment and trying to sell me more than what was needed. Heck, I don`t even know if they even did ANY work on my car. There`s NO WAY I`m coming back and YOU SHOULDN`T COME HERE EITHER!!!
