Had a car accident, the tow truck driver who had been called by the police took me to Kings Auto Body Group AKA 1st Avenue Body shop, where I let them fix my car, basically I was roped in. After having it for 3 weeks, I picked it up, everything seemed ok, but a week later the engine light came on. Upon inspecting under the hood I found a disconnected hose which they had plugged shut with a fat screw, hence bypassin... view moreg the computer system. When I took it back to them they seemed perturbed, unwilling to help, and had no clue on how to fix what was clearly their doing. I took it to a dealer who ran a diagnostic and fixed the problem, King Auto Body had crossed in-take/out-take hoses, so it was a minor repair, but the fact that they underhandedly tried to hide their incompetency by merely plugging up a hose with a screw, then not take responsibility for their actions leaves me to feel I`ve been serviced inferiorly.

Never Use this Body Shop

I was rear ended by a car and the place where my car was towed to referred me to a body shop. I was visited by a "Customer Relations Manager" after my car accident who promised me that they would "take care of me." Every time I called him he acted like he did not know who I was. Everytime I called to check on my car, I was told "It will be done next week." Each week was "ne... view morext week." They held my car for so long that the insurance cut off payment for my rental so I had to pay almost $500 out of pocket. Their rates are so high that they go out of the policy limits and force you to pay out of pocket. They tried to get the money from my insurance and when they found out that I did not have that coverage, I was now liable. I never even authorized the work they did on my car. They said if I cannot pay the difference they will put a lien on my car. The only way they would help me "cut some of the bill was to use refurbished parts. For over $9000 in charges I did not want used parts!?! The worst part is I am 8 months pregnant and they had no sympathy. They did offer me to make payments but there is a catch. They will not give me my car until the balance is paid in full. I do not recommend this shop to anyone and make sure you shop around.
