Buyer Beware! In April, I too...

Buyer Beware! In April, I took my car into this shop for a regular brake service. (they had a good special). I left my car there and was called shortly later saying I needed numerous repairs. The front brakes needed new rotors (they could no longer be machined) and pads. They said the cylinders on my rear brakes were leaking and that I had better have them repaired or I would be looking at brake failure. Well, I had... view more just had them replaced in December! So, I got a written estimate and took my car back to shop that had replaced the cylinders. When they looked at the rear brakes, they saw that they were NOT leaking and that it looked like someone had smeared some sort of lube on them (to appear as if they were leaking?). They then called meineke and asked why i was informed of the leaking cylinders - but Meineke denied ever telling me this! (Lucky I had the written estimate!) This shops seems to be a big scam. I indeed didn`t need the services they told me were leading me to brake failure and I saved myself $500 dollars that day.
