WOMEN BEWARE!!

Took my car to Rick`s for an alignment. Should`ve known better after the phone call to set the appointment. Without even looking at my car the service guy is telling me ""well you know these cars have been known to have problems with the springs"". After I told him at that point-I just want the car alignment done. He asks me what the car is doing. Um, like because I`m female I wouldn`t know that my car needs an alig... view morenment! So I drop my car off the next morning. Within a half hour they are calling me telling me that the ball joints are shot and need replacing. I once again told him I just wanted the alignment. Service guy started getting really pissy with me and said he cant do just the alignment without replacing the ball joints. Told him I would just come get the car. Went to pick up the car and was told that there was an inspection charge. REALLY? Told him sorry I`m not paying anything!! They should`ve told me there would be an inspection charge when I set up the appointment! Just felt they were VERY CONDENSENDING to women!

worst auto repair in tomah wisconsin

afyter taking my car to ricks he said it would be 500 for a new fuel pump, instead he charged almost 900 which was 500 over the price i could of bought the pump for, the bill came up to about 1600 which was 800 higher than other estimates, he didnt have me sign aything until after it was done, this person needs to be put out of business, do not under any circunstances take your car to ricks certified auto in tomah wi... view moresconsin

Not recommended!

We took our car into Ricks, because the timing was off and it was over heating. Ricks had the car for a week and told us everything was fine/fixed. We took the car out and within 2 hours of having it, it over heated and blew the head gasket. Ricks said that they were not reliable because, "" We drove it to Sparta and it didn`t over heat, unless you wanted us to pay for us to drive it to Rochester we would have had no... view more clue."" They will not repair this, when it was their negligence for not looking the car completely over for the over heating problem, and want us to pay over 1300.00 to fix it, or told us to pick it up. If they would have found the problem in the first place the cost would have been way less and the head wouldn`t have broke. I would not recommend Rick`s, we found out afterwards that many others had complaints about them.
